So what did you feel after ovulation, any little things/symptoms/complaints that made you think it might be a hit?

So I mean the time from ovulation to the positive test.

Right after ovulation, nothing. But the first few days before the period, I had swollen veins, felt better. I just somehow knew.

    I'm following along. :-)

Are there any ladies who think they've felt implantation, and at how many DPO was this?
  5. Suuske #6

I felt absolutely nothing! My body was surprisingly calm I had light bleeding from 10 dpo to 16 dpo, so I even thought it was my period! Looking back, that was probably implantation. My boyfriend then said, "Just take a test, just to be sure" After the positive test, my nipples became extremely sore—they were sooo painful! Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks.

Yeah, you can feel a lot, right... I don't remember it so clearly from my daughter anymore, it's been too long and I wasn't as into it back then. This year I've been "pregnant" 4 times already, but unfortunately no implantation :-(

So I can put together a list of symptoms based on my experience, but I'd rather hear about the symptoms that actually led to a successful pregnancy.

Consciously, I felt nothing and was convinced it was nothing.
Looking back, the stomach ache (3-4 days before my due date) actually meant I was pregnant + a sharp stab (+/- 7 days before my due date), which I think was implantation.

The months when I felt and saw all sorts of things on my body, I wasn't pregnant.
So my advice is: don't focus on symptoms, because they can also be in your head.

That's exactly what I did too, little one! Every month I had all sorts of ailments, and then when I was really pregnant, I had no appetite at all, but I thought it was just the nerves before the holiday, haha. After Africa, the day I was supposed to get my period, I had a really bad holiday because I couldn't eat anything, even though I normally eat everything, haha.

The months when I wasn't pregnant, I thought I felt everything, just like the other girls here. The months when I was pregnant, I just knew, as I mentioned before. Even though 3 didn't go well, which I also felt in hindsight. When it was okay, I wasn't scared or doubtful for a moment.

    With the oldest 2, I don't remember anymore, it's 11 and 10 years ago.

I didn't feel anything this time. I actually thought, "I'm probably not pregnant because I don't feel anything or any symptoms in that direction." But when I was on day 32 of my cycle and still no sign of my period, I took a test. I was already 4 days late, and within 1 minute, I got a positive result So right when I noticed nothing from my body, I turned out to be pregnant..

We had been trying from day 9 until day 19, every other day, until my next period. Which, of course, didn't come. And it worked

But with my second daughter, I really noticed I was pregnant four days before I was late. She let me know very early I didn't really need a test. I got extremely hungry quickly and had an empty feeling right after eating something. Feeling slightly dizzy. So yes, with her, it wasn't a surprise that the test gave a positive result. But this time, I noticed nothing, so it was completely different.

    Greetings, Madelene

I’ve had quite a few symptoms every time, but those same symptoms could just as well fit with ovulation or pre-menstrual syndrome. But now my body is already reacting pretty quickly to changes, so yeah, it really does vary from person to person.

I’ve got multiple symptoms now too, but I still have to wait a week until my period. We’ll see :-)

Pien, pregnancy and period symptoms can be really similar. They can happen with both. Super annoying.

One more exciting week! What symptoms are you having? I relied on my veins. They weren't any fuller when my period started.
  13. Nannie ❤ #14

    Yeah, I know.

I’ve got those veins now too. Really sensitive breasts and nipples, sometimes little twinges and short cramps, tired, heartburn, vivid dreams, bloated belly.

So quite a list, plus a few little things, but I’m not holding on to it, okay? Though something in me says it could be spot on, but I don’t dare to think it at the same time, because I’ve got something every month anyway. This year, of course, it’s been a wave of hormones coming and going, so my body is going all over the place with that.

Tough, huh? I hope you finally get a sticky one for you. I'm curious if your gut feeling will turn out to be right.
  15. Nannie ❤ #16

Thank you! Yes, I'm curious about that too! :-)

    Hi,
I don't know if this thread is still being read, but after reading some comments I had a few questions.
I had surgery for endometriosis a few weeks ago and they removed some spots. They also checked the fallopian tubes for patency. This was completely fine, so we wondered why it took so long? We've been trying for 1.5 years now, so we started getting quite impatient. I'm now in the cycle after the surgery, and I'm noticing different ailments that I've had before. But it feels different anyway. 2-3 days after my ovulation, I got a bunch of "stabs" in my belly and felt very restless. Now, 7 days before my period, I have more trouble with headaches, heartburn, veins on the breasts, a vague feeling in my belly, and flashes of nausea. I hope this time it's a hit, mentally it's so hard to keep going.. I actually don't want to test until the day of my period. I want to ask you, are there any women here who also had those "stabs" after ovulation and what complaints followed?

I’ve also had those twinges after ovulation, both when I later turned out to be pregnant and when I ended up getting my period anyway... I’m convinced that, and this is just a fact, that fertilization often does take place but is unfortunately rejected. So we’ll probably feel pregnant more often, with some getting a positive test and others unfortunately getting their period or a very early miscarriage.
  18. jessie95 #19

Yeah, I think I read that too, that you get fertilized a lot but it stops before your period.

You only know you're pregnant if you test positive a few days after your expected period, and even then, you don't know for sure until the ultrasound.

I tested myself, pff, and when I felt pregnant, suddenly it was a hit haha
  19. Nannie ❤ #20

I've already had several miscarriages this year, two of which were confirmed by my doctor. I never got to see a baby, unfortunately, and even so, the bleeding and symptoms are already so overwhelming. So yes, it's only during the ultrasound that you'll know for sure if there's a viable baby growing.
