2 days overdue and all sorts of symptoms. How did you feel?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently 2 days late, but I've already had 2 negative tests. I did one a few days before my expected period and the other today. I feel weird, my breasts feel like they don't belong to me, they hurt on the sides, kind of like a bruised/muscle ache feeling.
Then the lower part of my belly feels like a combination of being stretched apart and menstrual cramps. Since this weekend I've been very slightly nauseous, but with a constant craving for savory things. Yesterday I HAD to eat a burger. And I ate a lot more than I normally could handle, even though I was nauseous.

I'm going crazy from this, because I'm not getting any certainty and at the same time I'm afraid that my period will break through.
Has anyone else had these symptoms?

What you describe fits with the start of a period for me.

When I was pregnant, I was really nauseous before my period and barely ate anything.
The cravings for certain foods only came much later.

I hope you still get a positive test!

Yeah, normally when I’m due for my period, I get 2 days of really bad cramps in my lower belly, but this time there’s a lot more going on. Plus, I’ve had these symptoms since the day I ovulated. So I’ve been constantly bothered by my lower belly, my breasts, and the nausea actually started last weekend.
My mom and best friend keep telling me to just push it out of my mind, but that’s not so easy, unfortunately.

Oh yeah, and since a few days ago I've been urinating extremely often. Normally I go to the toilet 3 or 4 times a day, but since a few days ago it's easily 6-8 times a day.

Currently, I'm 4 days overdue and still getting a negative test. Have other women experienced this?

Girl, there are millions of women who were 4, 5, or even 2 weeks overdue and the test stayed negative. Some just had a late period, which can happen anytime. Others were pregnant; in some cases, hCG just takes a bit longer to kick in, so the test remains negative for longer. So, to know if you're pregnant, it's best to make an appointment with your GP. You don't gain anything from other people's experiences because what applied to one person doesn't necessarily apply to your body. Going by all sorts of different experiences will only make you more and more confused without knowing what's going on with you. So I'd say, call your GP—only they can give you an answer.

I have two kids and had zero symptoms except being overdue. Now my current boyfriend and I are trying for a baby. My kids are 14 and 11, so it's been a while, and I had more issues with various ailments back then. Indeed, nausea, sensitive nipples, and frequent urination. I've had both of those in both rounds. I think implantation or something. My cycle is pretty regular at 27/28 days. Also some spotting in between. So it could be anything. You can only wait and see. I hope it works out for you! Good luck.
