:-)
I really like Froukje, it's the only one I find really nice.

The other names are personally quite old-fashioned.

Good luck!

Bregje isn't old-Hollandic. Breg is Germanic for shiny, gleaming or radiant
So it has a lovely meaning, just go for it!

And I know a Gijs who's about eight years old, so what do you mean by old-fashioned?

    Loes, Lies, Jan, Thijs

Oops... I hit send too quickly...
    Love those old Dutch names!
I like Froukje and Gijs the best!
By the way, I know a man and a woman named Gijs... Both are really nice names! (I think it's due to positive associations)...
I find Klaas and Bregje a bit less appealing...
Otherwise, I also like Loes, Lies, Jan, Thijs, and Joep! I think Pleun is super!
    Good luck!

I know a sneaky Froukje, so I don't like that name because of that.

Bregje and Gijs are great names. Klaas is a bit old-fashioned, but maybe it's time for a comeback?

I know a 16-year-old Klaas, a 15-year-old Gijs, no Bregtje, and no Froukje either. I also know Loes, Joep, Pleun, Lies, and Jan, all around that age. So I don't think they're too old-fashioned names at all. Just go for it if you like them.

I think the names are super, but I have to say I like Bregje the least.

    Maybe Marie, Fien, or Juul?

    I still find Bregje cute,
but I'm not so fond of the rest.
I really don't like Froukje at all,
    but tastes differ.
So the only one I still like is Bregje.

Not my taste, but I think old-fashioned names are kind of trendy.
I just like them better as a middle name, for example, when naming a child after someone.

    Teun?
    Kato?

Know sisters who are named Gijsje and Teuntje? I love real Dutch names. Like Jan or Klaas, I also find super nice.
  13. ii Guest #14

I also know a Teuntje who's about five years old.

I like it too, but I find Klaas for a boy just a bit too... I'd rather go with Klaasje for a girl.
