Hi everyone,

Quick question. We're thinking of the name Tobias for a boy.
But I'm worried people might shorten it to Tobi.
I don't know anyone named Tobias, so does anyone here have experience with it?

    I think it'll be okay. If you stick with Tobias, it should work out.

    It's true that if we just say the full name ourselves, it might not be so bad after all.

    I think abbreviating names isn't such a big deal... Just like with Demian, you don't usually shorten that name to Demi either.
    I know someone who has Tobias, and his name is never abbreviated either...
