Mare-lou or Marie-lou

Why a hyphenated name? It looks a bit weird with a lowercase l instead of an uppercase L.

Mare-Lou sounds odd and doesn't flow well at all. Marie-Lou sounds better, partly because Marie-Louise is a common combination. Marie-Lou doesn't really roll off the tongue either.

Maybe go for Marie, Mare, or Marie-Louise after all?

Beautiful name! I'd go for Marie-Lou. Mara-Lou is also lovely!

I'm going with Marilou, written as one word. I'm not really into hyphenated names!

    Agreed with Anonymous ^^

    Madelou is also pretty nice.

But between Marie-Lou or Mare-Lou, I'd still go with Mare-Lou.

Marilou - as mentioned above - I think is a nice spelling. Then you don't have the problem of having to pause when pronouncing the hyphen. Without the pause, it sounds much better.

Marilou I think is very beautiful! Without the hyphen indeed...

    Definitely Marilou
