Kendi, Kyra, Sheila, or Nola

Hi! I'm 29 weeks pregnant with a girl. Unfortunately, we haven't picked a name yet. We have a few favorites but are really torn. We already have a son named Luuk. Since that's a very common name, we'd like something a bit more unique now. Which name do you prefer from this list?

    Kyra sounds cheerful and cozy.

    I don't think Sheila looks good with a Dutch surname, nor with Luuk.
    Kendi sounds too much like Candy (sweets) to me.

    Nola. Not bad, but to me, this name sounds less exciting than Kyra.

    Nola is so cute!!!!!
    I think Nola is a really beautiful, sweet, and yet strong/tough name! Super cute!
    Also, Nola sounds warmer to me than Kendi and Kyra...

    Maybe a bit of a weird explanation, but I think Nola is the best name because Nola still sounds pretty Dutch, just like Luuk, and it has an L in it, which is also in Luuk, and that flows so nicely. Kyra has a K in it, and Luuk does too, but Luuk and Kyra don't flow as well because the K is at the end of one and the beginning of the other. I don't think Kendi and Sheila are that beautiful.

    I also think Kyra is the nicest!
    It's nice and bold, and not that common...
    I find the other names less beautiful.

    I like Kyra the best, but it's not super. Sheila feels old-fashioned to me. Kendi is really awful to me. Nola is just okay. I'd rather have Noa, Nora, Noor, Norah, or Noë.

    I find Kyra sounds so harsh. Because of the K and the i sound.

    I'd go with Kyra or Nola. I don't like Sheila and Kendi.

    Only Kyra sounds nice; I don’t like the rest at all.
    But that’s very personal, of course.

    Hi!

    Nola fits best with Luuk.
    Sheila is more of a horse name.
    Kyra reminds me of a dog I know, and I don't think much of Kendy.

    I'd still like to suggest something.. what do you think of Nomi? I think I find it just a bit nicer than Nola..

    Nomi was originally on my list too, but my husband doesn't like it at all... Thanks for thinking along!

    Kyra is beautiful and also internationally usable!
    I know a few dogs named Sheila, so I wouldn't go with that one myself....
