test

Good evening ladies,

My girlfriend and I are a bit at a loss right now.
My girlfriend is now 15 days overdue. She got back from vacation 3 days ago and tested during the holiday, but it was negative. Yesterday she went to the GP. He also tested, but he couldn't make up his mind from the result. He said the test was very dubious. He couldn't clearly read whether it was positive or not. She tested again at home yesterday. Initially negative. After an hour, a very faint line appeared. (Not reliable of course) but still confusing. This morning she did 2 tests and both were negative.
She does show some symptoms though.
Cravings and eating a lot, very sore breasts, also larger than usual. Severe headaches.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Greetings and thanks!!!

    Hi Ben,
    That sounds really tough..
The only thing I can think of is getting a blood test for hcg....
See if a blood test brings more clarity...
I hope you get more clarity soon...
I actually don’t understand why your doctor didn’t suggest that themselves.

    Best, Ju or maybe Mavanmi

Yeah, it's weird that the GP didn't do a blood test when she didn't get her period. And even the lightest line is a positive, right?

I had this myself too... such a frustrating situation.

I had all the pregnancy symptoms and was 5 days late... and all 4 tests were negative. In the end, I called the GP for a blood test. Unfortunately, that was negative too. I then searched a lot online. It turned out that I was late because my body was developing its own cycle after I stopped the pill. I now have a 32-day cycle. Before that, it was 28 days....

    cheers

It could also be that your girlfriend is so scared of it, or really wants her body to play tricks on her.
