When to start using ovulation tests

Hello Mums,

I have a question.
I started having discharge on September 1st.
It continued until yesterday (Sept 7).
Today (Sept 8) I rinsed out the 'leftovers' with a vaginal douche. Just once, with water only. We really want to get pregnant, so the question is... when should we start using ovulation tests? My cycle is 27 days long. I hope you can help us out with this. Thanks in advance.

Best wishes,
Lana

You'd best start on day 9, that's tomorrow, and your most fertile days fall around Sept 15...
I wouldn't use vaginal douches anymore, that's not advisable...
Also, I'd sign up for NOD in September since your NOD is on Sept 28...
The girls there can really help you further...
Good luck with getting pregnant, Lana

Thanks for answering. I'll do it right away.
Vaginal douching is because otherwise it smells so weird and bloody. I don't find it fresh for myself and my partner. It's like when you've had sex and don't clean up properly, you know. The sex smell just lingers.

A vaginal douche can be a solution for some women who keep getting recurring yeast infections (candida albicans). For others, the products used for vaginal douching can actually cause itching and irritation. Every woman's body is different and reacts differently to external influences. If you're sensitive to the liquids sold in stores for vaginal douching, it might be better to just douche with water. One thing to keep in mind with vaginal douches is to limit how often you use them. Once a month or once every two weeks is enough. Using a vaginal douche more often can actually disrupt the pH balance. Also, it's important never to wash or rinse the vagina with soap or shower gel. Soap disrupts the vagina's pH value and can cause itching and irritation.

A vaginal douche isn't necessarily unhealthy, but if you notice it's causing you irritation, it's best to avoid using it.

So yeah, trust your own instincts, girl..
I hope you get pregnant soon anyway
