Instinct or menstruation

Nelly
Hi, I'm Nelly.
I was supposed to get my period last Wednesday, but on Tuesday I lost a little blood. So I thought, here we go again, and put in a tampon. After a few hours I changed it, but it was only half full. So I put another one in, took it out after a few more hours, and changed it again. This time, only the little string part of the tampon where you insert it was a bit red. Wednesday and Thursday were exactly the same story, and it didn't feel good to take the tampon out because there was barely anything in it. Normally, on those days, I'd have to change my tampon every 4 hours or so, otherwise I'd leak! On Friday I didn't put in a tampon anymore and didn't lose any more blood. In the evening we had sex, and no blood at all. I went to the toilet, peed, and there was some pinkish mucus.

Pff, there are plenty of cases where it was an implantation bleed, and also lots of cases where it was just a lighter period. However, it varies so much that you can never know for sure. The only thing you can do is just wait. If it's implantation, you'll test positive soon, and if not, you'll just get your period. You don't gain much from someone else's experience because it differs from person to person. It could be either. Your body isn't the same as anyone else's. Both are possible. Stop looking at others and just focus on what applies to you! So buy a pregnancy test and patiently wait for it to turn positive, or wait for your period. Simple.

Thank you! I've made an appointment with the GP for tomorrow ;-)

Good for you, girl! Sorry if I came across as a bit harsh, I'm reading it back now. But I meant well. Everyone wants to hear other people's experiences, but it's a fact that it varies from person to person. What happens for someone else might go differently for you, haha. The best thing you can do is listen to yourself and take a test, or even better, see your GP. Other people's experiences will just make you think and wonder more about what's going on in your case. Believe me, I know.

When I was doubting, I read so much... And the answers were so varied that I just didn't get anything out of it. It actually made me even more nervous, to the point where I was going crazy because it could be anything. After a long week and 3 tests (out of impatience), it was only on the third test that there was a mega-clear line. It took a week of patience, but it did help me to test myself and not drive myself crazy with all the hundreds of different experiences from others. I hope you're happy with the result haha, good luck

I've been reading a lot since the weekend, really like you said, it's enough to drive you crazy. Your reply gives me some hope because I bought two Kruidvat tests this morning but they were negative. But I just feel like this isn't a normal period. Anyway, it's nice that you wanted to reply like I said, it gives me a little spark of hope! Love

And congratulations on the clear positive line!

Doesn't matter, you're right too. Every person is different; for one it's like this and for another it's like that. So, no worries, I get what you mean.

You're welcome! I also just used Kruidvat tests for hahaha. 2 for 5 euros hehe, I'm not going to pay 14 euros every time for a test... I took one test on the day I was supposed to get my period.. I already had a feeling.. But it was nothing. I also read that hcg doubles every 2 days so I waited 2 days and didn't know what to think, saw a heeeeell light line but so unclear that I thought it was because I had peed over it hahaha, call it an evaporation line.. Thought it was negative. Then waited until I was 6 or 7 days late and that was megaclear dark red. In the meantime, I also read so much and that's nice because you get hope but it doesn't help because there are also many who just got their period hahaha, wasn't satisfying. Ultimately, you have to look at yourself and one test is positive after a day and even stories of a positive test after 3 weeks! You don't get an answer by looking at others. I was also reading all day but it didn't help me except for hope... Don't make yourself too crazy with all that reading hahaha, breathe in and out and wait until you can go to the doctor, then you'll have real clarity! Good luck, I hope it's positive for you!!!

Yeah, after reading that, you're immediately cheered up with a dead sparrow, so off to shower, walk the dog, and have a 11:00 am appointment with the doctor to explain the story! Thanxxxxx xxx

    and??

So I was at the doctor. I explained the whole story (I just forgot to mention that there's a milky stuff coming out of my nipples that's sticky...shitt!!) and he said it could be a very early pregnancy, a miscarriage, or you didn't ovulate and the best thing to do was just to wait and test, or even better, wait until the next period!!! So here I am still in uncertainty. Yesterday I went to clean windows and do that kind of stuff to not think about it, but still every time I go to the toilet I check if there's blood coming out hihi crazy right? Now I'm going to continue cleaning and tidying up to not focus my mind only on that! Love, Nel by the way this was that pinkish mucus

Oh yeah, that's indeed less. But I do understand your GP. A lot of people miscarry in the early stages. And hCG stays in your body for a while, even after a miscarriage. If you test and it's positive, you at least know you were/were pregnant, but if you've had a miscarriage, you can still test positive! So you still don't know where you stand. I know it feels like it takes too long when you're in uncertainty, but it's indeed best to wait until your next period.. Then you'll know for sure. You can definitely do a test beforehand. Then you'll know if you're pregnant (were). Weird that you're leaking milk from your breasts!! That usually starts around 24 weeks of pregnancy when your milk comes in and you might start leaking! So that's definitely not normal! If it keeps going on, you'd better call your GP again.. Sws lots of strength and good luck!!

Today when I peed, there was a very small, thin film in the toilet, a bit flaky... any idea anyone?

I hope I can ask my questions here and am allowed to

Hi everyone, I'm new here so I'm just getting a feel for how things work.

I have a few questions and I'm curious about your experiences with this.

I know I should wait it out and then take a test. But I'm interested in other people's experiences and tips.

I've had a 33-day cycle for 5 months now. I'm not using any contraception or other birth control.

My last period was on August 15th. About 1.5 weeks later, I had some bleeding. It wasn't as much as my normal periods and was actually much too early. It also only lasted 4 days, whereas my periods usually last around 7 days.

    Could this be implantation bleeding?

After my period on August 15th, I wanted to start using ovulation tests (I only needed a few, so I have plenty left over).

Yesterday and today, I did an ovulation test 'on a whim'. Both were positive (I didn't use first morning urine and I drank a lot).

My period is due on September 17th.

I'm looking forward to your experiences and tips.

    Thanks everyone!

    Best, Naantje

    Hi everyone!
    Just a quick question!!

So I’ve had sex for the 6th time “unprotected”
Yesterday, on the 15th, I only lost brown/pinkish blood when wiping
    Today it’s the same again.
    Is this implantation bleeding???

Liess, when was the first day of your last period?
