Hey ladies,

I have a question. I'm 36 weeks and 3 days. For 2 days now I've been having a hard time. Lots of painful contractions, even at night. Even when doing nothing. Yesterday I counted contractions and had one every 5 to 10 minutes for an hour, and then it got a bit quieter. I feel my little girl moving a lot, but I'm constantly tired myself. This morning I took a leisurely bath and suddenly a long white string of thick mucus (6cm) (sorry for the description) floated out. Could this be part of the mucus plug? Last week she was already partially engaged and my cervix was already shorter.

    No, I don't have any experience with this here, but I'm thinking along with you
    Do you have a lot of discharge during pregnancy? I certainly do, but I don't think it's a strand of 6 cm.
    When do you have your next appointment with the midwife?

    Next Friday. Normally there's quite a bit of discharge, but for the past 3 days it's barely anything outside of that string? ???

    No, that's why I'm getting a bit worried and I'm starting to have increasingly painful, hard contractions, even when I'm resting.

    Just give them a call.
    I'm also getting more hard contractions while resting now, but I'm almost 40 weeks.
    And I'm going to see the midwife this afternoon, so I can ask her everything again.
