Baby's position is painful

Hi ladies,

I'm over 33 weeks pregnant and our little girl has been lying with her hard bottom up in the right side of my belly for a while now. But these last few days she's right next to my belly button, just pushing and pushing... and it's been hurting since the day before yesterday. I only feel it less when I'm sitting or lying down because I'm kind of curled up then, so she's not quite pushing on that spot. I had hoped that lying down for a bit on the first day would help shift our little girl into a slightly different position. I also tried pushing and shaking my belly a bit... but no, this lady stubbornly stays right there.

I'm getting a bit sick of the pain. I think it's totally bruised inside, and it even looks like a light blue spot is forming on the outside.

Does anyone else here have this problem?
Pff, I hope she shifts to a slightly different position soon.

    Hi Mandy,

Your story is so relatable to me! I'm currently 37+3 weeks pregnant myself, and luckily my little guy has taken up a better position in there now. I had a lot of trouble with it around 33 weeks myself. There's really nothing you can do about it. Unfortunately, that's just how it is. Hang in there a little longer and hope that your little one shifts position soon.

Good luck with the final stretch of your pregnancy.

    Best wishes

    Hi cheyennn,
Glad you replied and that someone else relates to this. Good to hear that your little one finally dropped. That gives me hope that it might happen for me too.
Luckily, it turns out that when sitting and lying down, her bottom is slightly higher. But walking and standing are almost impossible. When I put on my pelvic belt, it seems like the little girl shifts into a slightly different position, which is less painful. Then I can walk a few hundred meters without being crippled by the pain.

Thanks, and good luck to you too... for you, it's all the final stretch now.
