I'm dripping.

Since 27 weeks I've been dripping from below.. I actually thought it was watery discharge.. But now I'm starting to doubt.. I've been wearing liners for a week now.. But everything down there is irritated and it itches as well.. Everyone always says call the midwife but I'm seeing my gynecologist.. And I feel like I'm overdoing it or something when it comes to boring questions..

What should I do?

    I'm 28 weeks pregnant, by the way. So it's been dripping for a week now..

    Hi MissD! Tell us more; is it transparent, does it smell, where exactly does it itch, when did you last have sex, etc.?

    Ugh.. It's pretty clear with white flakes. It doesn't smell bad.. It's itchy inside my labia, you know.. Drops also cause itching.. Sex uh... Last weekend I think? Or at the latest early this week..

    Do you scratch between your outer and inner labia, or really in your vagina?

    I think it might be a yeast infection... Are you pregnant now?

    Mrs. D, as you know, I’m also seeing a gynecologist, and we got a little booklet with phone numbers for the department, and it says: if you have doubts, uncertainties, or questions, always call!
    I’d definitely do that in this case. Or at least go to your GP, they can take a quick look too.

    I think that's very sensible, better safe than sorry. Even if it turns out to be a simple fungal infection or something like that, it's good that you went because then something can be done about it.

    Spoke with my doctor.. Didn't get much further than the assistant.. She said she'd consult with the doctor and there should be a prescription ready this afternoon.. As long as I don't get a counter-notification.. I was in a bit of denial that it was the candida fungus.. Purely because I didn't want it to be that...

    More of a feeling, Mandy.. I don't know either.. Based on the symptoms, the fact that I've had it before and can actually recognize it, the doctor prescribed a remedy.. Hope it works quickly because I really need sleep!!! I'm now getting up 3 times a night for a cold washcloth.. Otherwise, I'll scratch myself to pieces!!
