I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and still only 5kg over. I've been sick and yes, drank a lot of water and lost some weight over a few days, but it's back on. All in all, it's not too bad. I wanted to ask Marie Louise once what that diet is that she does, because I would like to apply it after my pregnancy if it works, because I would lose so much weight and want to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight from a year before. And in total, there would then be 10kg less. Can someone help me? What is the 1600kcal diet?
Best regards, Jolene
I used to do the "stripes-slim" diet, which was invented by the weekly magazine Margriet.
You keep a little diary every day, it has 130 boxes on it, each box is 10 kcal.
There are 5 different groups like:
group 1 bread, potatoes, rice and pasta,
group 2 sauces and bread toppings,
group 3 cheese and dairy products,
group 4 vegetables and fruit,
group 5 cookies, candy (and) soft drinks.
each group has its own number of boxes.
cookies, candy and soft drinks e.g. only 15 boxes to check off
at the back are all the products with the number of boxes behind them that you have to mark.
a sandwich e.g. is 80 kcal, so you put 8 crosses in group 1.
If you stay within your boxes every day you lose about one and a half to 2 kilos per week.
By moving or exercising you free up boxes again.
I don't know if it still exists, I went to look it up and then I ended up at www.stepaday.nl
seems the same as far as I could read.
I made up the 1600 kcal diet myself, because after half a year of 1300 kcal I noticed that I became very tired and had little strength so I started eating more.
I kept this up for about 3 years without a diary of course, I already knew the kcal of the foods by heart.
Now at 33 weeks and gained 8 kilos, I've been told I shouldn't gain any more weight, so I need to be very careful with my diet and stop drinking cola and eating sweets.
hey everyone, I'm in the hospital with a softened cervix, 1 cm dilation, contractions, and my girl's head has engaged. After three days, my cervix is a bit calmer now. Hopefully, it stretches a little more while I'm still in the hospital.
I've also gained weight. In total, 9 kg by 32 weeks. Not too bad, I think.
Yesterday I was 32 weeks pregnant and today I've gained 11.6 kg.
I notice my face has become rounder, as well as my arms and thighs.
Do you guys experience this too?
My midwife says it's fine, but I think it's quite a lot.. :-)

I'm 29 weeks now and already gained 12 kg, which is a relief compared to my first pregnancy where I gained 34 kg. Hopefully it stays this limited because before my first pregnancy I had a nice figure and barely lost any weight. Really annoying. Hopefully I'll lose them now anyway. I've already made plans to get back into sports. I feel like a walking gas cylinder on sticks hihihi.
