Do you have a lot of pain/discomfort? How far along are you now? -

Hey, I just replied to another post of yours. I'm now 26 weeks and the baby is also very low. Honestly, I'm having trouble with it, especially pain in the pelvis and lower back, and since this week, regular hardening of the belly. I don't know why, but every time I feel something, I'm scared that she'll come too early. This week I also had a hardening of the belly that was painful. How are you doing now? Do you still have contractions? I hope for you and your baby that it stays put for a bit longer. Lots of love -

Saturday and Sunday were a disaster. I went for a check-up today and still had painful contractions, but they are already much less. My cervix was very shortened, at 2.35 cm, but luckily it has lengthened back up and I'm safe now. I'm experiencing dizziness and fatigue, but that's due to the medication I have to take to prevent preterm birth from the contractions, which I'll probably have to avoid until at least 37 weeks. She's very active, which is positive; she's always been very active except for Saturday and Sunday. She weighs 1.762 kg now :-) They can't measure her size anymore because she's too big. How are you doing? If you don't feel well, I really recommend going to the ER. You might think, like I did, that you don't want to bother people unnecessarily, but it really puts your mind at ease. They take the complaints seriously. Do you know what it's going to be? Big kiss. -

Heyla,
Amai, she's doing well weight-wise. Things are going okay here today, but I've had a few hard contractions. It's going to be a girl; I already have a son. (So perfect!)-D
She moves a lot too, but I feel her less compared to my son. Maybe because she's positioned so low? On Tuesday I can go to the gynecologist. I'll talk to her about it; maybe she can reassure me a bit. I'm also curious how much she weighs. If things suddenly get worse, I'll definitely go to the emergency room or maternity ward. With my son, my contractions started at 34 weeks. So maybe that's why I'm a bit more anxious that it might start again so early or sooner. I had to lie flat for two weeks then, couldn't even get out of bed to go to the toilet, and the meds didn't help either. Now I'm a single mom with a toddler at home, so that wouldn't be easy. I'm trying to rest as much as possible now, but yeah.

Hope everything turns out okay for you, I'm rooting for you. And it's indeed not easy being a single mom, I wouldn't even want to think about being without a partner. Respect for that, really. Hope you get support from many people. Where are you from anyway? xxx -

And congratulations again on your girl! I had a boy first, then a girl, and it's truly wonderful. And now they protect each other so well :-) Still hoping for another girl soon; it'll take some getting used to :-) -

Thank you, you too. I hope things stay steady for you as well. How are you doing today?
I'm from Ostend. I have a lot of support from my family and friends. Especially now, I find that really nice.

What a coincidence, my birthplace! My dad and brother still live there :-)
Today is going well, I'm home alone with my two kids and they let me sleep in properly :-) That's good because I'm exhausted, probably from that medication. How are you? x -

Feeling good today, just had regular strong contractions while I was walking around. I'm at my parents' place now, so taking it easy. I'm also exhausted, been like this all week. Haven't had any contractions until now. She's let me feel her a lot today, so I'm reassured. Had a nightmare last night (about my water breaking).
It's sweet of your kids that they let you sleep in.
Take care!

I'm now 30 weeks and 4 days pregnant and happened to go to the midwife for a check-up this morning. Our girl is lying head down, just like she has been for the last few visits. She's also positioned very low. I'm really feeling the pressure on my ribs and back now. They say it's all normal! -

With me, she's moved a bit more upward :-) At 32 weeks, I don't have any rib pain, even though she's quite long and heavy, so I'm lucky in that regard :-) But she has her own mind: at 28 weeks she was head down, two weeks later she turned back, and four days later she was head down again. She moves in all directions, which hurts in the belly but not in the ribs. -

eraly: Saw our girl today, everything is fine, no dilation yet but I have to go back for a check-up within 4 weeks.
She's about a week behind, but as long as she's doing well otherwise, no problem.
Marloes: I don't have any pain in my ribs, but indeed, the little pains are all part of it.
I do need to rest a lot because of the hard contractions.

I'm glad everything is going well :-) That your baby is a week behind is not a big deal; my previous two were always like that too, and they were born with a good weight—our Mike 3.310 and our Kate 2.970. Now I'm just 32 weeks and she's actually a good week ahead :-). Braxton Hicks contractions are really annoying, aren't they? I have a lot of them too. Last night and today I haven't been feeling so well; I feel quite lightheaded and get exhausted very quickly. My gynecologist told me to eat a lot of salt, but I basically can't keep down salty snacks, chips, or even pure salt, and it doesn't help me at all. I need to rest a lot, but I can't stand seeing the mess around me. My husband is being difficult because I don't stay in bed, but I can't help it—he works 6/7 days, and the kids are not helping :-) -

hi, sorry something went wrong. Some replies disappeared :-( Sorry! -

Doesn't sound healthy. If it doesn't get better, maybe you should get it checked again. Maybe something is wrong. (Don't want to worry you now.) I'm extremely tired today. I could sleep all day. The contractions have lessened a bit, but I'm trying not to walk around too much because then they come back. I was in the hospital with my son for premature contractions and don't want to go through that again.

I'm not saying anything's wrong (and I hope not), but it could indeed be from the meds. With my son, I also had early contractions and took both magnesium and pills. Then I also had headaches and trouble turning. Are you still having a lot of hardening of the belly now, or does the medication help?
For now, everything's calm here. My sister took the little one with her today so I could rest a bit. I really needed it; I could sleep all day, I'm so tired.

still having some hard contractions but way less than before
I keep getting headaches, back pain, heartburn, nausea. I’m turning even when I lie down, I don’t know if that’s normal? Last week my blood pressure was 12/8 which is normal, I usually have it lower. Sometimes I get hard contractions but not as painful anymore.
Yeah, a day of rest would be good too :-) Enjoy it :-)

Heyla,
how are you doing now? Do you still feel so bad?
Everything's fine here, except those hard contractions are back. I have fewer of them than during my first pregnancy, but they're still painful. Rest helps, but housework also needs to be done, and then they come on.
This week I'll go check out the birth cards, and the baptism sugar is also slowly coming together.
Greetings, Evy
