weird question

Hi other mamas,

Just a weird question... I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant with a girl.
I've been waking up at night with a feeling of hunger for a while now, and I usually just eat something small quickly.

Is it true that if I eat something at night, the baby gets used to it in your belly and will wake up every night for a feed once she's born, or is this nonsense?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, it's just that they get used to the flavors you eat during pregnancy. So if you eat a lot of fish, for example, your baby will recognize that taste from the womb.

No, the baby gets the same amount of nutrients through the umbilical cord as needed. I doubt they recognize the flavors, but I don't deny it either.

I was up every night too because I had to eat something! I ate a whole rusk every night during my pregnancy... I was addicted! Our girl slept through from day 5 and 6! She's a good sleeper and doesn't mind my night snacking haha..

    Love, Lynn

A baby recognizes the taste of food in the womb when they are born because they develop their taste buds around the 6th or 7th month, so they can already taste things. I just don't know exactly which month it is; I'll look it up. Greetings, Marijke

And the baby seems to recognize it when he's born. The same goes for food: the things you ate the least during your pregnancy, he doesn't recognize after birth. Greetings, Marijke
