Hi Marlies,

Sorry I can't help you, but it all sounds pretty unpleasant.
Too bad about those little setbacks...
And a C-section would be really unpleasant...

Hopefully the little one still does what you want, so turns!

Good luck and love, heart

Had lung maturation treatment today. Now I know it's a course of 2 doses, 24 hours apart, administered rectally. Normally I could've gone home, but because I was on the monitor, they saw I was having a lot of hard contractions. Since Saturday I've had a lot of pain, and because of that I have to stay in the hospital until Thursday to stop the contractions and pain!!
As long as it helps my baby's health by staying in my belly as long as possible, it's a big experience I'm going through and I'm glad all of this exists! And I'm in good hands with the midwives!!

    Lots of love, Marlies

The tocolytics are doing their best, I have no more contractions or pain! Now resting a lot and hoping that the little sprout will still take enough time to turn!!
    Many loving greetings, Marlies

A day to be grateful for! Super that those aids are there.. do you see them before the birth?

    Love, sweetheart

No, I'm looking forward to it! But I really hope it can still be a natural birth; I really want to experience it. Apart from an emergency C-section, you don't consciously experience everything because of the full anesthesia, and I think I'd have trouble with it if I woke up and my baby was suddenly lying next to me out of nowhere! I don't know how to put this well. But well, time will tell, and as long as the baby is healthy, that's my biggest wish!

Had an ultrasound this afternoon. Our little sprout weighs 1kg900 and I'm 33 weeks today. It's clear that he won't turn anymore due to the uterine abnormality, it's impossible. But it'll probably be a C-section with epidural, so I won't be fully anesthetized! That's a big relief!! Lots of love, Marlies

Our little sprout was born yesterday at 33 weeks and 3 days! Everything went very smoothly and well. Our little boy was able to breathe on his own right away. The umbilical cord was wrapped around 3 times though! He's a strong, calm little guy. I'm so happy!!!

That's great, and you're looking back on it fondly. It's lovely having the little one. I think about it with a bit of jealousy too. Mine is already ten months old. Where has the time gone!?

    Enjoy it to the fullest.

Love, heart, and we'll hear from you again!

@eline his name has become PIERRE thank you both for the well wishes
@hartje I look back positively on the birth itself it all went very smoothly!
The only thing I regretted after the birth is that I only saw my baby for 1 sec and they immediately took him to the incubator! I could only touch, smell and admire my son after 7 hours! That was very hard!!

Pierre is doing his best he is now 11 days old and weighs just under 2kg but he feeds very well! And most of his food he takes via his mouth at night through his feeding tube!
Today he wore a undershirt for the first time!

Now hoping that he quickly reaches 2kg500 so he can go home!
Because it's hard to leave your baby behind every evening! He is in good hands but still...

Mornings are always a mega moment for me! Then I can put him in his bath! Feed him and three quarters of an hour skin-to-skin! That feels blissful! In the evenings papa can change his diaper, feed him and also three quarters of an hour skin-to-skin! These are moments we truly cherish!!

    Many warm greetings! xxx

After 4 weeks, my little man was allowed to go home.
That was on Dec 6th, he weighed 2kg440 then! He was still very small but everything went perfectly.
Meanwhile, Pierre is already 9 months old and weighs 8 kg!
That's how it is!! Everything turns out fine!!

    Lots of love, Marlies

    Hi!
Since a week I've had back pain, but since I'm a back patient, I didn't pay much attention to it, just thought it would get better...
Sunday I had bleeding, so I went to the hospital.
Turns out I have some contractions, which is why I've been here for 2 days now... Baxter to stop the contractions...
And an injection in my butt for lung maturation.
I didn't expect this, only a little bleeding sometimes...
    And some small cramps.
33 weeks pregnant, first baby... everything feels so scary...
