Almost 33 weeks pregnant and ready to be done with the pregnancy

Hey ladies,

I was wondering if there are other ladies who are crawling towards the end?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant in two days and I'm so done with this..
I've been home for a while now after I had strange attacks of sweating, stomach cramps, hard belly, nausea, dizziness.. At the hospital they couldn't find anything that was the reason for this, so they blamed it on an overworked body and I had to stop working immediately and rest, which is very difficult with a toddler of 2.5.

Now I've been dealing with severe fatigue for 3 weeks, resulting in severe headaches and burning eyes, and I occasionally feel those attacks coming back. Fortunately, I can temper them by lying flat and resting, but I really don't have the desire/energy to go on like this for another 7 weeks..

Now I want to discuss this with my gynecologist next week, but I don't really want to come across as a hypochondriac.

What would you do?

Just bring it up with her; she’ll probably cheer you up again. For me, weeks 33-35 were really tough... I had real feelings of depression and felt very unlucky... After that, I pushed myself hard and set my mind to the idea of a 40-week pregnancy, and just kept going. I kept myself busy with all sorts of things. I realize that might be a difficult solution for you, but definitely talk to her anyway. I hope you feel better soon and that time passes a bit faster for you...

40 weeks isn't happening for me, I don't want that at all... I almost lost my son because he wasn't breathing at birth (39+4 weeks).

    But thanks for your message.

Did that come from your birth or from the 40 weeks? But you do have a different baby now, right... The second one can be so different from the first... I also don't know what your situation is, hence...

that's the problem, they don't know how it happened.. I had fumbled quite a bit at the end but the gynecologist wouldn't take over..
the birth was also very normal but he was born purplish-blue.. before the umbilical cord was even cut he was purple and blue.. his little body was already in a state where his kidneys and liver had stopped working and he needed 3 types of antibiotics for that too.. he had various checks after his birth, from heart scans and heart/head ultrasounds to blood tests but they can't find anything wrong..

luckily he recovered very quickly, way above the doctors' expectations

@dromertje: I'm now 32 weeks and I'm fed up. I can't really cope anymore and I'm feeling a bit depressed.
What's a serious pitfall for me right now is that I come from a very severe depression, so I could relapse.
I have no interest in anything, I'm bored to death,...
Keeping myself busy is also difficult. So I'm lying on the couch all day long.

I also have those hot flashes; the midwife says it's the hormones.
I also have painful, hard contractions, stabbing sensations in the vagina, a lot of mucus loss, heartburn, and mild headaches.

I have an appointment with the gynecologist on Nov 14 and I hope she says that a C-section is necessary due to the baby's position, and therefore hopefully we can schedule a date in early December.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, Romy..
Last night I woke up with aching pain in my lower belly and upper legs. Luckily it subsided and I could go back to sleep, but when I woke up this morning to my son, I got really serious cramps that really scared me. So I took a warm shower and that weakened the pain. Now the cramps come up every now and then.

I also get cramps regularly. It's probably due to low potassium. I eat a kiwi every day and lie down with my legs up.

Take a warm bath every day and that's so relaxing, but as soon as I dare to do something, our little man starts moving around a lot or I get painful stabs in my groin or vagina.

I don't know if I can make it to 40 weeks. I hope he shows up sooner.
