hard contractions

Hi everyone.

I've been having a lot of hardening contractions, even when resting. I had an internal exam to check how long my cervix was. It was 3 cm. They start to get worried at 2.5 cm. I'm now 32.4 weeks pregnant. A week ago, I spent one night in the hospital to see if my cervix would shorten due to the hardening contractions. Fortunately, it didn't happen in one day, and I was allowed to go home yesterday. They did tell me to take it very easy at home, because the hardening contractions could turn into real labor contractions.

Has anyone else here experienced this?

Never had that, but what a bummer! Are they sure you don't have a bladder infection or a yeast infection? Those can also cause hard bellies.
    Get well soon!

    Hi flowers,
I also had a lot of trouble (had) with hard contractions; it started around 21 weeks and from 32 weeks onwards it suddenly became much more intense, even at rest. The midwife then advised me to stop working and rest. She couldn't feel any dilation at that time; I did have a very small amount of dilation at 23 weeks (+bleeding) and was admitted for the night. I'm now 35 weeks, but it's still nerve-wracking!
    Good luck/keep strong...

Oh, exciting! So we're in the same boat after all. I'm 34 weeks on Monday, so there's about a week difference. I'm curious when the little one will arrive. I'm so excited to meet her. Good luck with the final stretch. Maybe I'll hear from you once you've given birth.

    Greetings
