Hemorrhoids! Who oh who has the golden tip?

Hi everyone!

Quick question... I'm almost 39 weeks pregnant now and have had hemorrhoids since about the start of my pregnancy. But right now they're even bigger and more painful... I've tried Hemoclin ointment and Cural tablets combined with Cural ointment.

I've been drinking liters of Roosvicee Laxo, and I have Movicolon syrup that I need to take 3 times a day.

It's really hindering me in my daily activities, and I'm dreading the birth even more!

Does anyone know how I can at least get rid of the pain?

Thanks in advance!

Nasal drops (aromatherapy) are said to help a lot with hemorrhoids! I'll see if I can find more info for you. Also, massaging your Achilles tendon is said to help with hemorrhoids. I know it sounds a bit woo-woo, but I assume you're trying everything to get rid of them.

What also helps is adding flaxseed oil and ground flaxseed to your food. This at least keeps your stool soft, so the hemorrhoids don't get worse or more painful.

I do indeed read that Otrivin or a nasal spray with menthol can help relieve the pain.

    This seems to help too:

    Regarding the nasal spray:
If you have external hemorrhoids, spray the nasal spray on them. 5 times a day.

    Get well soon!

Thanks! I've already tried flaxseed, flaxseed oil, chia seeds, olive oil, etc. I've tried them all. It's not like my bowel movements are really difficult or anything.
I haven't tried a nasal spray yet, so I can still give that a go ;-) Thanks!

I totally relate to your problem, and it's awful! I'm 38 weeks now and also dealing with a lot of it. I've carried this over from my previous birth and had such terrible pain that I'm a bit anxious about what it's going to bring me now! My pregnancy has been fairly okay, but since the last week, I've had a lot of pain! The ointment doesn't really help, and I use it even when my bowel movements are good!

Iza, I'll just try that nasal spray too... thanks for the tip!

    Love, Lynn

Went to the doctor last week. Got a numbing cream I can apply as much as I want! The pain was gone immediately! After the birth they're going to surgically remove my hemorrhoids, hopefully I'll be rid of them for good!

alternating cold and warm.. e.g., a washcloth with ice cubes for 2 min and then something warm like a water bed or cherry pit pillow.. and so on, alternating like that. It makes the surrounding muscles contract, improves blood circulation, etc.. and should get better.. x

What I've heard and experienced after my first pregnancy and during this one:

    - Nasal spray is decongestant and helps a lot
    - Ointment "Scheriproct" which I use when it hurts or itches intensely.

I got a really good tip from a friend and it personally helps me a lot. Instead of toilet paper, use wet baby wipes. I still do this now for a big poop it really helps!

Hopefully, there's a useful tip among these.

    Greetings!
