pressure sensation

Hi ladies,
I was due on Monday and since today I've been feeling a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen and pubic area. It feels quite uncomfortable when walking now. Could this be the start? Or does anyone recognize this?

Greetings

    Hi,
I'm due in 3 weeks and sometimes I get this too. It's because the baby has dropped down; the baby is just lying with its head in your pelvis and keeps sinking deeper. Walking can feel painful for a moment or getting up. The midwife said this is normal from 37 weeks onwards.

Hi ladies, I'm Monday 8 days out.. And I have this regularly because of the pressing feeling..our girl was already fully engaged at 31 weeks and had 1-2.5 cm dilation at 35 weeks.. This is now the same for 2 weeks..since yesterday after my check-up with the gynecologist I've been having menstrual cramps and back pain, sometimes even really throbbing pain in my lower back.. And a lot of hard bellies.. I barely sleep at night anymore because of the pain but this night was abnormal.. Normally I only wake up 2-3 times and now I've been awake every hour during the night at least 5 times.. Really exhausting.. A tip from my gynecologist was to walk a lot, drink gin or tonic which contains quinine and that triggers contractions. You're not allowed to drink this throughout your pregnancy due to the high risk of premature birth. And now in the last days this can be drunk in abundance...
Well girls, good luck and hopefully not too much pain! Enjoy the last days/weeks of those round bellies.
    Love

If we're all dealing with it, it's probably just part of the process. I had a little hope that things would get going a bit sooner. Hihi
And that's really tough, sleeping so poorly! I do wake up sometimes to go to the toilet, but otherwise I'm still sleeping pretty well. Seems pretty rough though.
So exciting, these last few days, weeks! I'm getting more and more curious every day. Is your little one your first too?
And thanks for the tip! Are you going to try it too? Hihi
Just cleaned the windows, they're at least tidy now!
Girls, good luck with the final touches!

    Hi hi..
Here she is, our first little one..
I'm also starting to get more curious about our little girl.. She's on the lighter side, they said yesterday, while she always sat high up..but luckily it couldn't do any harm because she's already about 50cm..so she's big enough to compensate for that. Yeah, those nights are a real disaster, but it's all part of it. hihi... I'm not going to deliberately do the stairs, it's already exhausting enough these last few days.. But I'm drinking gin and tonic again now, I missed it and had been living on water for 3-4 weeks because I couldn't handle cola and lime, and I can handle gin and tonic. So I'm glad I can drink something different for once.. Hopefully it works too haha...

I haven't done the windows lately, it's freezing again in the country down to minus 5 at night and now it's only just 0 degrees.. Luckily I had done them just before the winter flu shot..and now it's for my husband who likes doing the windows..

Now ladies, good luck with the last few weeks and hope for a fantastic birth that goes smoothly.

    Love, Daphne
