mucus loss

Hey ladies,

I lost my mucus plug a few days ago and since yesterday I've also been losing several strands of mucus. I'm also, well, wetter than usual. Could this be a sign that labor is coming up?

Cheers, Chantal

    Hi girls,
Same here! I already had 1-2.5 cm dilation from 35 weeks.. But unfortunately that doesn't mean the birth is coming soon. It could happen though, there's definitely something in motion for sure:-) so just wait patiently.. We're doing the same here.. It could be any moment.. Exciting days, we were counting around the same time I think? According to my cousin I would give birth on the night of Jan 15-16.. She went to a fortune teller, well I don't know what to believe about such things so we're just waiting calmly and cozily:-P our little ones will come when they're ready hihi.. Anyway, I'm looking forward to welcoming our girl.
Lots of love and enjoy the squirming in your belly for now girl. And then we have to share hihi..

Yes, I was also due on January 21st. I hope it won't take much longer. I've already had so many nights in a row with contractions, so I'm really hoping it won't be long anymore.

Yes, girl, who knows, we might have our little ones in our arms soon, although I will miss the squirming in my belly.

Well, I was at the CTG scan last night and got examined, and it turns out I already have a good 1 cm dilation and everything has softened up nicely inside. I also took a sleeping pill last night because I was completely worked up, and I just woke up feeling nicely rested but still a bit groggy.

How are the rest of you ladies doing?

Hi girls, so it’s starting for you too then!
I’ve had 1-2.5cm dilation since 35 weeks.. I also have contractions every night.. I have to go for a check-up early tomorrow, so I’m curious. My little guy is going to get his suitcase ready in the car so it’s all set.. Yesterday evening I got terrible pains in my groin that kept coming and got worse the whole time. My partner started making jokes and I had to laugh so hard I almost fell on the floor from the pain and laughter.. Those pains have gone away now.. But I need to rest a lot and lie flat, I have low blood pressure. I went to the doctor yesterday because I had to have blood drawn and because I was having so much trouble with my stomach and intestines.. The toilet has been my best friend these past few days haha.. And now I’m only allowed to eat rusks with jam, yogurt, and banana.. But that won’t make you hungry, that’s not enough.. So I decided to make some nice broccoli puree tonight and eat properly. I feel like I really need the peace and energy, so I’ll get vitamins from my food... Our girl is super active and stretches herself out completely. The doctor said yesterday that it won’t be long before it happens; it could be any moment because she’s starting to stretch like that. It was a sign that she’s ready to come, he said. I’m curious because I’m going to miss that squirming a lot, I think..
Love, keep us posted, girls!! I’ll keep you updated here too...

    Hi Chantal,
    How are you doing, girl?
Is the little one still happily wiggling around?
We went for a check-up this morning.
Our cervix has changed very slightly because it’s starting to shorten. I also got the results from our smear test, and I’m not a carrier, so I don’t need to take any antibiotics. Our girl now weighs 2.931 kg and was pushing well; she’s been making progress, said the gynecologist. We had to start covering our living room seats and car seats because it could happen spontaneously at any moment. Our appointment on Monday has been moved to Friday, January 11th, unless we need to come in earlier, she said. She doesn’t want to induce labor because everything is going so well and it’ll happen naturally. So the countdown can begin! I’m curious and hope it won’t take too much longer. Can’t wait to hold our girl in my arms...

Lots of love, and rest well and enjoy, girl.

hihi it won't be long anymore, girl.

I hope she comes soon and that you can finally hold her in your arms. I had back labor pains again last night and slept poorly.

I heard from my grandma that I should start walking, nice walks, it seems to help bring the contractions going, especially if the little ones are already active. Maybe also an idea for you.

I have to return on January 10th but I really hope it won't take that long until I can show the little one and not have to walk around with so much pain anymore.

Are you also enjoying these last moments? I'll keep an eye on whether you've given birth to your little one yet.

    Love, Chantal

Ooh, those back contractions are hellish, aren't they, girl? I suffer from them every night too, and sometimes they really radiate down to my toes... Just breathe calmly in and out. Count 3 seconds in and 3 seconds out, and that helps keep the pain under control. It also makes me feel very calm, so maybe you could try it too??
Yes, they say walking helps with inducing labor, and doing lots of stairs would help too. Well, walking is sometimes very painful for me; I get a lot of sharp pains and cramps in my groin... But that's apparently the little one pushing down... But it's a good idea to do a few trips up and down the stairs, hehe.
Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long either, because those contractions and pains can be really terrible sometimes, right! I have to go back on the 11th if it's not sooner... I hope labor starts soon. I'm getting a bit tired of these visits myself, but it's all part of it, right. It would just be nice to show our girl to the family, etc. Dad is bringing the last things into order today, like hanging up the curtains, putting the park bench in place, setting up the bassinet (one of those baby seats that moves with music), and even got our hospital bag ready by the door haha. People who don't know us might think someone is leaving or something.. Haha.. But everything is nicely ready here, and I'll do a few small things like adjusting the curtains because they're a bit big, but grandma will do that, so I don't have to worry about it, luckily:-P
I'll hear from you too when your little baby is here, girl!
If it comes to that, wishing you lots of success and a beautiful delivery!

    Love,
