Pap smear

I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Does anyone here have to get a smear test from the gynecologist? (Belgium) Because I never had to do it during my previous pregnancies.

    I don't think they do that here when you're pregnant in the NL. I had it done recently, and they specifically asked for it. (I wasn't quite pregnant yet at the time.)

    Maybe for group B streptococcus? It's actually good to know beforehand. But I'd really like to know what exactly they're checking for; it's a bit strange that you don't get a proper explanation.

    Yeah, I think so too. I'm reading it now in my pregnancy book, but he speaks so quietly that maybe he said it but didn't hear it. Now it's just a swab, not like an injection or something. Anyway, I wouldn't let myself be injected without knowing what it is.
