SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

pff I'm dealing with a problem, I've had sleepless nights for at least 2 months now. At the start of these sleepless nights, I'd wake up at half 3 as standard, but now, weeks later, I barely close my eyes at all. I'm even dreading going to bed. I've tried everything already: pills from the doctor, warm milk with honey, Bach flower drops, a pillow between my knees, warm baths—name it, I've tried it. Who, ohhhhh, who has the right solution for this here? I'm now at the point where I'm completely at my wit's end. If I had to choose between winning the state lottery or just sleeping through one night, I'd choose that one night of sleep, no doubt.

    @wolkje 78,
    So relatable for the last trimester, girl...
    What I did was relaxation exercises..
    And a CD called Pyramid Power by Roy Martina..
    That helped me a lot,

    I don't know how it feels for you, but
    this is what helped me..
    If it doesn't help, it won't hurt either..

    Let me know what you think of the tip..

    Love, Ju

    @wolkje 78,
    indeed, very relatable in the last trimester..
    I always slept well until around 3am when I usually woke up to pee...
    but for the past 2 weeks I barely close my eyes at all..
    I go to bed as late as possible, around 11pm or half past 11.. then I play a bit on my Nintendo DS or read a romantic book together with a warm cup of milk with 6 sugar cubes (I have to taste the sugar otherwise I won't drink the milk:ermm and I have to say this helps me.. (not always) but mostly yes! If I wake up too much at night I just get up because staying in bed really doesn't make sense.. then I just stand around for a bit, walk around a little, cuddle with the dog for a bit and lie down on the sofa... until I get really tired again and then back into my bed..

    Don't know if you're still working??
    I've been home from my 5th month already.. so I try to catch up on sleep as much as possible in the afternoon..

    Love

    Hi Cloudlet,

    It looks like you've already tried a lot of things that didn't help, and you're basically dreading going to bed every night. I notice that when I can't sleep, I get kind of angry at myself, and then it just doesn't work at all.

    I think you should look into relaxation exercises. Maybe combined with calming music. There's an exercise where you tense up your whole body little by little, hold the tension in your muscles for a moment, and then relax. This exercise can really help. There's also a breathing exercise for relaxation. It helps slow down your breathing, and because your breathing is calm, you can relax better.

    I hope this helps you out.

    Love,
    Anne

    I could try calming music too, my little boy will probably be happy with that
    And I did sign up for yoga and pregnancy classes to be able to relax a bit, but you'd never guess, there was so little interest that it already fell through
    And I've already gotten out of bed, with the consequence that I then fall asleep on the couch and wake up completely broken because we have such an awkward couch to lie on.
    And I can lie down in the afternoon when my 4-year-old daughter is at school, and I do that too, but I sometimes skip it in the afternoon to take a nap in the hope that I'll sleep well in the evening, but that doesn't help either. But I'm going to go internet shopping and look for a calming CD.

    Hi,
    I’m having the same issue.
    At first, I’d always wake up to go to the toilet (3 to sometimes even 4 times a night), but now I’ve been waking up randomly around 2 or 3 a.m. for weeks. I can’t get back to sleep. It’s awful!!!
