How are you all experiencing your pregnancy?

Hi Linda,

I completely agree with you. My due date was today, and I really love being pregnant—it's honestly one of the highlights of my life!!

I get occasional contractions, and I'm even a bit disappointed when they stop. I'm really looking forward to it, weirdly enough.. But I enjoy every extra day. After all, it's something so new. I was talking about it today with an acquaintance, and pregnancy and childbirth are often seen as burdensome, full of ailments, nausea, and a lot of pain at the end.

That's not how I experienced it at all!! I'm still proudly walking around with my belly, went out this weekend, had dinner, and stayed at the terrace until late.. I'm still sleeping well too. But I do feel bad for those who feel unwell. I wish I could convey my feelings to them..

With you, it's going to be great soon, right, at 35 weeks!! I felt relieved once I passed 37 weeks, because the chance of them needing the incubator is much smaller then..

Best regards, Olivia..

That's not weird at all! Looking forward to your due date! I was officially due on Friday with my 3rd kid. So I know what it's like to give birth, and yet I can't wait for it to start!
Not for the birth itself, mind you, they can keep that part of me, but the moment you get your baby on your belly and everything is okay is indescribably beautiful!

As for being pregnant, I think I've been lucky. Almost no nausea and few other complaints. But now it's tough at the end, with 2 other kids around. Luckily they're already in school, which helps a lot

I feel fantastic too and really enjoy being pregnant. But what a feeling of panic! What if I have a difficult birth, what if I give birth too early, will the baby be okay? So many questions haunting my head that it hurts!
But I also enjoy being pregnant. I'm looking forward to the birth too! I can start counting down now, yay!

    Hi!

I've reached my due date today and I'm feeling pretty good. I have to say I've had a good pregnancy with few complaints. Just a little dip at the end of September. I was then admitted to the hospital urgently with an acute bladder and kidney infection. I spent a week in the hospital and couldn't work anymore.

For the rest, I can still do everything. Even if it's at a lower pace than "normal". For example, last week I was still painting and unscrewing a desk and carrying it out of the room. I still jump on the bike to do some errands or go for a ride. It's funny, I have a mountain bike... people can look at you so nicely when they see that you're pregnant, haha.

Hmm, it's not that I'm "looking forward" to the birth itself. But I don't see it as a mountain either. I just let it all come over me. However, I do really look forward to the moment when "el bebe" is on my belly/chest. That seems like such a wonderful moment!!! How sober I can be... when I think about it, I feel tears, haha.

Greetings and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy or success & a pleasant birth!!!

    Love,
    Anne

I’m also really enjoying my pregnancy here... it’s so nice to see your body changing...
Well, I’ve never had any complaints or anything... until 2 weeks ago I suddenly got heartburn at night, but that only lasted a week so that’s over too So nothing to complain about.. just problems with the pelvis which can cause a lot of pain..
And besides sometimes being anxious about everything and anything (it’s our first baby) it’s going along nicely and cozily here.. I’m still doing everything I can, albeit at a slower pace than usual.. and with the necessary breaks...
Now that it’s slowly starting to wind down, we’re taking it easier now.. did too much over the weekend and had to reap the consequences yesterday...

I am looking forward to the birth.. I’m actually curious how it all works And the fact that my partner and I have made a bet regarding the epidural, he is quite convinced that I’ll ask for one at the first signs of labor and I said I absolutely want to do it without! And he said ok then let’s bet on it... So now I’m quietly hoping I can continue with my strong character and high pain threshold during the birth and deliver without So I can make him smell a little poop and show him that we can be strong too!!..
But I am also a bit scared of the birth, but I guess that’s more than normal, I think there are multiple feelings playing in your head...
I’m also incredibly looking forward to the moment they lay our girl on my belly/chest and the first time they feed her.. and also how the dad will react, he has such a big mouth that he doesn’t hug anyone he doesn’t do with family.. so I’m curious how fast he’ll be melted for his princess I think I’ll have to keep him in check so he doesn’t go showing off in the hallway hahaha..

    Love, Daphne

And ladies, for whom it could happen any moment, lots of luck with your birth! And a very pleasant birth!! We’ll hear from you! Enjoy your last days of your big belly!!

Great topic, good for me to really reflect on it and write it down.
How do I experience the pregnancy?
At first it felt surreal to receive such a big gift, but after about 12 weeks it got mentally tough because of all the vomiting. At 22 weeks it got even more stressful due to our baby's upcoming surgery.
Around week 30 the physical complaints started, and heartburn is the least of my worries. My belly hurts the most, all the ligaments feel like they're about to snap from all the water weight.

And the nerves about after the birth keep growing because that little one is going to get operated on anyway.
But I keep enjoying it despite everything. Sometimes with tears, well, you know.
Very consciously so, because no one can take this pregnancy away from me.
So, big belly: you can be incredibly in my way and cause me pain, but there's the most beautiful thing inside me that I could ever get (on the same level as my daughter, of course).

@dani: why does your little one need to have surgery?
