Hi lovely ladies, please help me! I'm totally confused. I always thought you weren't supposed to have a duvet in a crib, but now I've been told otherwise.
How do you dress your crib or bassinet?
Looking forward to your replies!

    Hi hi,

As far as I know, duvets are not recommended for babies until they're 2 years old. I just have a fitted sheet and a blanket. For variety and in case it gets cold, I have a second blanket that's a bit thicker. To give the room a different look, I also have a cover for the blanket. That way it looks more like a duvet.

    Love,
    Anne

A blanket and a duvet. Or a duvet in a duvet cover.

    Thanks for your reply!
I thought that was also always the case, but I was completely confused because they were so convinced that she started doubting, haha.
What a nice idea, the cover makes it look different, yes, nice!
    Thanks.

    Hi hi...
I bought sheets for our crib and a blanket that you can make thinner in the summer. It was just as warm as a down blanket... I specially came to get it all in the Netherlands. Because here in Belgium they mainly put down blankets with covers in the crib... And since my stepdad is of Dutch origin, I thought it was nice to take something like that instead of always the traditional one from here. And I have to say I'm very happy with my blanket because our girl can still use it later when she's older, for example in the chair or something...

And what kind of blankets do you use, fleece / wool / etc.?
And where can you buy them...?

    Best,

Hi Réwana, I was in Maastricht. It's about a Koeka blanket
You can buy this in a fleece-like material, then you get a single blanket, or you can get one like mine which you can make thinner. I'll take a photo of it tomorrow and put it online so you can see and I'll see if I still have the receipt from the store
The blankets do cost quite a bit, "about 67 euros", but they'll have a lot of fun with them later on, right..

As promised... The blanket is online with my photos

Here are baby blankets from Prenatal..you can get them in both cradle and crib sizes...
Under sheet on the mattress, then a folded hydrophilic diaper where your little one lies with their head, and then a top sheet with the blanket on top, and then you fold the top sheet back over it (do you get what I mean;-)
    Best if everything is cotton!
    Duvet, definitely not!
    Good luck!
