Insomnia

I'm now 29 weeks pregnant and for the past week I've been struggling massively with insomnia, feeling tired, having trouble going to sleep, and when I'm in bed I just can't fall asleep. At first this was exactly a form of panic, but now I'm following physio with breathing exercises, but unfortunately I still can't get to sleep. I'm only sleeping about 2 hours per night. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up... I feel like I'm on the edge. Does anyone have tips? I've tried everything, like sleeping with nursing pillows, taking a warm bath before bed... I'm becoming really discouraged.

Breathing exercises can actually backfire during panic (attacks).
I’d try a different way to calm down.

What helps me when I can't sleep? A nice warm cup of milk. I fall asleep like a log after that. Try to avoid bright screens before going to bed. No phone. No TV, but a book, or just nothing. And do your breathing exercises for at least half an hour. That way your eyes can also get used to the calm.

Strength, your body is just preparing you for later, but sleep is especially important right now.

A really, really boring book... And make sure to keep your feet warm, that also gives you a cozy feeling which helps you drift off to sleep more easily. Think about wearing socks in bed or using a hot water bottle. Good luck!

Oh, I've already tried all these tricks, to no avail... nothing helps me calm down or sleep properly. I wonder if this could be purely due to pregnancy hormones?

Hey, I've been having this issue too. For several weeks now, and I'm almost at 38 weeks pregnant.
The problem here is that I have warm feet and restless legs, so the cooler it is, the better I can sleep. I apply body lotion to my legs at night, but I don't feel like doing it every hour :-)
I think the insomnia really comes from the hormones and subconscious worries about the baby coming soon.
Hopefully, you'll find a trick to get some sleep.
