Scheduled C-section and mandatory COVID test

My C-section is scheduled and getting closer, super exciting!
But now I have to get a COVID test a few days beforehand, it's mandatory.
I haven't heard much about the tests themselves, but what I have heard is negative.
Has anyone here had experience with it?

Both of my parents were tested. The swabbing was very quick but it really hurt them (I think they said it felt like they were 'scraping' their throat, which caused a sharp pain).

BUT both of them had corona (they also felt very sick), so maybe their throat was affected and that's why it hurt more than in a healthy person, we don't know.

I work in healthcare, and a few of my colleagues also took the test—luckily, all negative. They said the throat swab wasn’t pleasant but manageable. The nasal swab wasn’t nice either because it has to go quite deep. Apparently, that was really quite painful.

I had the test too (was negative) but didn't find it painful. It's maybe not pleasant, especially with your nose, but it's over in a few seconds. Lots of success with your C-section, hopefully soon your baby in your arms.

It's just a cotton swab in your nose and throat. Really nothing to worry about.
