Burning heartburn

Hi everyone, I'm a master's student and I'm working on research about heartburn during pregnancy. So I have a few questions for you. Hopefully, you can help me!
First of all, I'd like to know if you experience a lot of heartburn, and what you're doing about it now. Are you using medication or do you have other solutions for this problem? Has your doctor recommended any specific products?

    Hi Roozz,
I’m not currently pregnant, but I did have a lot of trouble with heartburn during my pregnancy. The doctor recommended starting with Gaviscon and Rennie’s, but unfortunately, it didn’t help much. In the end, I got a prescription for an acid reducer, and that helped a lot. I can’t quite remember which one it was anymore.

Rennie, vanilla custard or a dry cracker is often recommended.
In my first pregnancy, I could handle Rennie fine, but in my second pregnancy, it made me really nauseous. I ended up buying Gaviscon myself, and that helped. Once the baby dropped, I no longer had any issues with acid reflux.

From 30 weeks onwards, I've been dealing with a lot of heartburn. Almost always when I lie down. It wakes me up, and then I sleep more upright, which makes it less. Otherwise, I don't do anything about it.

During my first pregnancy, I didn’t have much heartburn, but this time around it’s completely different. I’m really struggling with it. Some days it’s a bit better, but on the days when I’m really bothered by it, I pay attention to what I eat and drink. I also regularly use Rennie, which usually helps quite well.
