Hiccups

Ellen
Hi, I'm just over 34 weeks pregnant now, and since last week the baby has had hiccups up to 3 times a day. I guess that's good for the development of the lungs... Does anyone else here experience that often?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. My son had hiccups a lot, and even after he was born, he still had them often. It will gradually get better. Don't worry too much about it.

Hi Ellen! Here we have a little girl with hiccups too. Often after I've eaten something. Already quite greedy haha. I don't think it can do any harm, only good

It's not a big deal at all.
My daughter had hiccups in the womb from 26 weeks on, up to 6 times a day. It used to drive me crazy sometimes hahaha
And after birth, she still had them a lot. She's now 6 months old and it's getting a bit less.

Hey, I'm also 26 weeks pregnant and he gets hiccups a lot. It's because he's swallowing amniotic fluid, but it's no harm. My future son has them often in the evenings or even at night. They say that if you have a lot of hiccups during pregnancy, he'll have them a lot after birth too, but it's no harm. My daughter had them too when I was pregnant with her.

My son also had hiccups a lot in the womb, and they often lasted quite long. It has to do with drinking greedily or drinking when the tummy is already full. It can't do any harm.
Now he's 3 and still gets hiccups right away when laughing or crying hard.
