uterine pain

Hi everyone,
I'm now 28 weeks and have been having pain in my belly for about a week, mainly when I get up in the morning. It never lasts long; after about half an hour, it's gone. I think it might be my uterus?! Sometimes I also feel pressure on my vagina (sporadically throughout the day), and I'm not sure if that's normal or not. I don't think it's 'hard belly' contractions... My belly doesn't feel hard at all, and the pain is only low in my belly. Should I mention this to my gynecologist, or is it just because of the baby's weight? The little girl is already 1,200 grams by now.

Greetings.

I have them too. They're false labor!! (I made a topic about it: "False labor, when is it normal"

I also recognize the difference in the fact that it's only in the lower abdomen and also in the morning or at night.
I get a hard belly during or after exertion, and those contractions happen when I'm lying still or sitting.
I'm already 34 weeks now, maybe that's too early for you..
    Calling can't hurt, right..
With me, it's not increasing or anything, the pain stays constant and then suddenly disappears!!

Hi there, I also have this weird feeling. I’ve had pain in my left pubic bone all day whenever I stand up or do something—it hurts terribly. It’s such a strange feeling. I’m almost 34 weeks now, and I feel embarrassed to go to the gynecologist about it. Has anyone experienced this? Greetings!

    Ilyana,
why on earth would you be ashamed of that girl!!?
We are pregnant after all and it does come with discomfort. You're allowed to show it off!!
But what you have is round ligament pain, I think, those are really sharp stabs (stretching) when you get up too fast or something. You can't really do much about it, it just means your little one is growing hard and your ligaments have to work harder to carry it.
And that can also just be on one side like you say.

I didn't complain so much during my whole pregnancy (I also had no reason for it) than in the last 3 days!!
Our baby really hurts me terribly!!! Then I can feel her back under my hands, and she kicks inwards instead of outwards. So I feel like she's kicking my insides black and blue!!
Today she just pushed my ribs on the right side up!!
At night (like now) I sometimes have to bite my tongue to keep from crying from the pain! So sleeping is really out of the question..

Hi ladies, I'm also starting to experience some discomfort and I'm a bit worried too.
Last night I woke up for the 2nd time around 1 AM with a hard belly and real pressure on my pelvis.. my girl was going crazy, I just had to get up, I couldn't hold it anymore.. I had pain for about a quarter of an hour from the pressure in my pelvis. The hard belly went away on its own. Then I lay awake until 2:30 or 3 because our girl was so active I could literally feel her feet sticking out.
Now I've heard that this is normal around this time, that it starts slowly because your body is preparing itself, but somewhere I was actually scared.. Now my midwife told me not to worry for now and just take it easy if I get a hard belly, but I do have to mention it for sure at the 8-week checkup, especially because I'm really getting colostrum at night, it's not full milk yet but still, you lose fluid, I really had spots in the morning on my sleep shirt.

    Hey girls!

I once had an HSG test, and the pain I have now after just one day feels exactly like walking on eggshells—such a painful uterus. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and have a check-up, so I'm curious if this is the baby dropping. I can't handle this for another 6 weeks... I have a breech baby, and I'm wondering if it can still engage. Has anyone experienced this?

This is our first baby, and I've had a lot of complaints so far. I find being pregnant quite tough, even though it was highly desired (after the first IVF treatment, it was successful!).

I hope everyone takes good care of themselves and calls the midwife if needed... I will too!!

Greetings and good luck to you all

Girls, isn't it also your ligaments...?? It's quite a weight that it carries...
Just asking, I'm 12 almost 13 weeks and I also have pain in my lower abdomen regularly and I know that for me it comes from doing too much and then ligament pain is...

But if you don't trust your gynecologist and/or midwives are there for that

Good luck with the last few weeks anyway

I already had those Braxton Hicks contractions at 18 weeks. Luckily, they didn't hurt. I'm now 36 weeks along, but the real hell is just starting. They're not so harmless anymore, but luckily I'm still close to the end. I'd definitely mention it if you go for your next check-up. They do keep an eye on that, you know.

For me, it really wasn't the ligaments I felt. Just hearing the word cervix makes my hair stand on end...
Thankfully it's less now, but hopefully it stays that way and the midwife will say later that our baby is behaving perfectly, has dropped nicely into place, and that's what the pain was...
    To be continued....

In the 13th week, you do indeed feel your ligaments stretching quite a bit. The uterus expanding can also play a role, of course...

Monday we're going for a check-up. Last Monday I already had 1 cm dilation. I'd really like to make it to next week too, but sometimes I have my doubts about whether I'll get there. The little one is pushing so hard downwards. I'm curious to see on Monday if there's any more dilation. Anyway, tomorrow we'll be 37 weeks along, and I've only gained almost 4 kilos. We really can't complain.

Working at 37 weeks? Isn't that not even allowed anymore?

    Hi,

I'm self-employed, so in principle I can work as long as I want. There's just one rule: I have to stop one week before the due date. Otherwise, I can choose for myself. So we only get 8 weeks of leave for our little one instead of 16 weeks like others. That's a bit sad, but that's just the law.

I'm still working at the moment, but I really hope I can hold out for just that next week too. After that, my little one can come.

Sometimes I do get a bit impatient.

Oh, that explains it! I thought it was so weird that you were still working for so long. I went on leave myself at 34 weeks, and by a certain point, you just get tired of that big belly and really want to see your baby (I was anonymous, apparently not logged in). Good luck with the final stretch!

Thank you so much. I'm 38 weeks pregnant today. Had my last clients yesterday. I have 2 cm dilation and have also lost the mucus plug, so it's no longer sensible to keep working. I'm super curious how our little one will look. It can come anytime. I've only gained about 4 kilos, and my little prince is currently estimated at 3 kilos.

I was wondering how your birth went
