The baby's probably dropped down quite a bit or is in the process of doing so. Sometimes it really feels like the head is already between your legs, which is pretty weird. You generally recognize labor by contractions that start to build up, and in some cases, by your water breaking. Exciting, 37 weeks, so it can just happen now! Good luck with the final stretch and have a smooth delivery!

Yeah, it could be that the little one has dropped or is about to. With me, the pain radiated down to my tailbone. Good luck with the final stretch, ladies.

Super thanks, ladies! Yeah, the last few details indeed... lots of tiredness in my body. But I had really extreme pain again tonight and still have it now. Very weird, but would this really continue like this every evening for another 3 weeks? What do you think?
    Love

Not for me. It came and it went. I gave birth at 41 weeks and 2 days. Just bite the bullet, girl.

Here I am too, 41+2. If I had known back then that he wouldn't come before 41 weeks, I would've been more relaxed from 37 weeks on. So I've decided to aim for 41 weeks instead of 37 weeks for my next pregnancy!

My tip for you too: try to ignore it and assume the same, maybe it'll be less than you think! Once labor really starts, you can't ignore it 99% of the time, so it'll definitely go well!

Yeah, indeed. I also assumed 37 weeks. In the end, an induction was scheduled for 41 weeks and 3 days. But the birth happened spontaneously at 41 weeks and 2 days, haha. So for the next one, I'll just assume 41 weeks. I really went crazy from myself from 37 weeks onwards.

Haha yeah, I totally get that! But I also think he'll be born after 40 weeks. Still, this pain is so intense that I've been wondering how the contractions will actually feel

I was eventually given an IV drip; it was pretty intense, but I got a pump, I think it was remifentanil. I was pretty much drunk on it, hehe, so I actually had a pretty good time between contractions and sleeping. We could laugh hard about it afterwards. If it gets too intense again, I'd like to have that again (it's still a medical delivery).

But I think it's just sinking in for you, right?

With me, he wasn't fully engaged. After full dilation, it took an hour for him to be fully engaged.

Yes, sweetheart, I think it's the baby dropping down, but I hope I don't have this pain every eveninginch: but well, I think it's true that everything that drops down now helps with contractions during labor. At least that's what I heard once, haha

Haha, not to scare you or anything, I also had that bad pain a lot, and he only fully dropped on the day of birth.

Yeah, it does sound like the baby dropping down. I’ve been having that too!! And with my first, I really had that feeling of having a ball between my legs, makes you walk funny, right?! Haha!
I try to remind myself that it’s still a while to go,
But... honestly... every day feels so long!!!

Yea, it was such a weird week! From Monday to Thursday I had absolutely terrible pain, truly unbelievable... and on Thursday I went to the midwife and she told me that the baby had completely dropped and that could be causing the pain. If the baby was resting on a nerve and then moved its head, that probably caused the pain! And from Friday onwards, no pain at all! Yeah, yesterday and today it feels like something really hard is pressing against my ribs and it hurts so much.. not like being kicked, but really like something is pushing against me. I think it's a foot because the bottom is at the level of my navel! I'm curious when the contractions will start hihi had a super busy baby last night until deep into the night, so weird
