less work for pelvic issues

Hi everyone,
I couldn't really choose a good category for my question. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and dealing with pelvic instability. Because of this, I'm now working 2 hours less per day. Normally, I work 40 hours a week. Will this reduced working time now come out of my maternity leave? Does anyone know? I'd love to hear from you.

Greetings

    Hi girl, are you Dutch?
If you've been (partially) on sick leave in the Netherlands in the 6 weeks before your due date, your leave starts 6 weeks early. You can't delay it. From experience (I'm just 4 weeks into being a mom), if you already have a lot of discomfort, you'll definitely want to start your leave at 34 weeks.
Good luck with the pelvic pain.

Xmookix, everything for those 34 weeks that Floydi has mentioned, does not come out of your maternity leave! You are now partially signed off sick by your employer through the UWV, and this is considered sickness due to pregnancy. There’s a separate fund for this with the government, so your employer gets these sick hours fully reimbursed by the UWV. But as I said, it doesn’t affect your leave. From the moment you reach 34 weeks, it does come out of your leave, so the consequence is that you might as well go on leave then. In practice, if you already partially sign off sick earlier in your pregnancy, you’ll end up going on leave 6 weeks before your due date.
Hopefully, this is a bit clearer?

Good luck with your pelvic issues; hopefully, working less helps!
