Too small at the growth ultrasound

At the 30-week growth scan with the midwife, it turned out our girl is too small, so we had to go back to the hospital the next day for a check-up, where they found the same thing. All the blood flow was fine, but our baby is right on the lower limit for head size, leg length, abdomen, and weight. I went back for a check-up yesterday (32 weeks), and she has grown a bit, but she’s now even closer to the lower limit, so I have to go for weekly check-ups, and next week they’re going to do a heart scan.

At first, I wasn’t too worried since small babies run in the family and she’s active. Has anyone else experienced something similar? And do small babies stay in until 40 weeks, and how big/heavy are they then? The OB-GYN said they’re aiming for her to reach 2500 grams at birth, which means she still needs to gain another kilo!

The one from my sister was also quite small on the ultrasounds for a long time, but she caught up in the last few weeks and weighed more than 4 kilos at birth. Take it easy, eat healthy and varied, and wait and see. That's all you can do.

We did too. Growth scan (because of my wife's low BMI). Nothing to worry about. Belly grew less than expected but was within the lines (curves).
Still something to keep an eye on.
Now, a week later, the midwife calls and we have to go to the OB/GYN anyway (even though we were supposed to have the growth scan next Monday). We were told not to worry because the baby was very active, which is positive. And it was still within the curves, so also positive.
But just to be safe, the OB/GYN... We had contact with 2 midwives earlier, neither of whom referred us.
Anyway, let's assume it's preventive. Otherwise, they might have pulled the alarm even sooner. Probably had a work meeting today. Better to have overreacted afterwards than to have missed something in the process.
But still, it doesn't feel good. And unfortunately, we have to wait 3 more days to know more....
