hypothyroidism during pregnancy?

Hi!
I'm now over 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I had a hypo (sweating, shaking, and feeling very weak) this afternoon because I forgot to have lunch. I couldn't eat right away since I was in the car, but I grabbed something to eat as soon as I got home and then it went away... But my question is, can it harm the baby? If I have a hypo, for example. I can only find things online about gestational diabetes and the risks of high levels, but not about low levels. I don't have gestational diabetes anyway. I'm curious if anyone here has experience with this.
Greetings, Anne

I had it a few times early in the pregnancy and around 26 weeks. It's especially unpleasant for yourself! It's not for very long that you're really too low, your baby has its own pancreas and can easily bridge that little while!
By the way, I always had low fat throughout the whole pregnancy, 4 and 3. That did prick a bit. But my son weighed 3815 grams, so I wouldn't worry! Tip: make sure you have some quick sugars on hand, in your bag or jacket pocket! And now off to your delivery

Thanks for your reply it really puts me at ease again! And I can indeed put some Dextro or something in the car, I'll pop by the supermarket tomorrow haha. And indeed, hopefully soon to the delivery!
