Forum 3rd trimester

The surroundings are getting nervous.

I
Now that I'm 36 weeks pregnant, I notice my surroundings starting to get nervous.
Oooeeeee just a little longer. It's almost time. It could happen any moment. Exciting, isn't it? And do you feel anything yet? Etc.
Well meant, I'm sure. But honestly, I find it quite irritating. Let me enjoy my leave in peace, and we'll see when the little one shows up!
Does your circle also get so involved? And does it sometimes get on your nerves?

Hahahaha, so relatable. That’s the hormones. Don’t bother dressing up and just be glad everyone’s along for the ride, even if it’s annoying.

So relatable, haha! I'm now 38 weeks, almost 39, and suddenly everyone I barely ever talk to starts messaging to ask how I'm doing and if everything is still calm. When I reply and ask how they're doing, I suddenly get no response at all. All well-meaning and just curious, I guess. But then I think, if she were born, you'd really hear about it. Now it feels like they're just checking in on the baby but don't want further contact.
And then there's everyone saying it can't be long anymore, heavy lifting in the final stages, or it's at most 3 more weeks—I'm getting tired of hearing that too I understand it all, but I'd rather meet her today than tomorrow.

What a bunch of losers, seriously! They did talk a big game, but luckily they didn’t send anything my way either. Good luck with the final stretch, Anne. I can totally imagine you’re ready for it all to be over
