Your opinion on the color of the birth card for a boy

Dark purple with lime green works great, I think, and it's nice for a boy!
Or that purple with orange or brown. I don't find this girly at all!
Good luck
And Sylvia, how nice that you're doing birth announcement cards. I live in London and we only need to send the cards within the Netherlands. Do you also handle the shipping of the cards? I'll take a look at your site.
Thanks in advance
Anything your gut tells you is possible!
And purple is definitely a really good color for a boy, I think.
I recently bought a backpack, for when my little baby goes to daycare at 3 months old. I was hesitating because the colors are lime green, purple, pink and orange. With cute little birds on them. The handles and the trim around the edges are bright pink... I thought it was a bit of a girl's bag because of that. And since I don't know yet if there's a little guy or a girl in my belly... But the bag was just too cute...
My sister stood next to me and said: 'Really a cute bag for a sweet little baby!!!'
Then I thought: Yes indeed, it doesn't have to be a pirate bag or a tough car bag or anything like that yet, it's still just a tiny little one, a baby! So I took the bag anyway. By the time the little one can wear a backpack and it turns out to be a boy, I'll buy a cool boy's bag by then!
:-)
Good luck with your design!
(I'm very curious how your card will look... Maybe post a photo of your card on this site by the time your little one is born?!)
I think it's a shame that we adults have been brainwashed into thinking pink is for girls and blue is for boys. Kids really don't see any difference between those colors. That's exactly why I have very little interest in all that pink stuff; to me, it could be a bit more rugged..
We weren't planning to find out the gender and ended up choosing purple (for the room, anyway).
By the way, I also think purple and green are a beautiful combination.
