Hi! I'm exactly 36 weeks pregnant today (due date Aug 10) and I'm already counting down! It's my first, so I keep wondering if something's gonna happen already haha. But it could still be a while! I have to say I'm pretty ready to be done with being pregnant though.

For me, it's also the first one!! So exciting, right... Sometimes I feel contractions and then I think; could it be starting now?! Haha..
  3. anoniem22 #4

Yes, really super exciting! Last week I had a whole afternoon of contractions or practice contractions, and since then nothing more. I'm now also kind of waiting for something to happen, hehe. Has he already fully dropped in for you too?
  4. e.kers started this #5

Yes, it’s completely dropped for me too and settled in the pelvis. I’ve had severe stomach cramps every evening/night for the past few days (kind of like contractions, I think??), but if I get out of bed and walk around a bit, they go away again! Hopefully it kicks into gear soon
  5. anoniem22 #6

Sounds like you had that too, the day I was walking around and it got less. Oh, waiting takes so long!

I still have to wait two more weeks than you guys, but I'm starting to count down the days too. Last week I said she could stay in there for a while longer because I'd actually miss being pregnant, but since then I've had so much back and pelvic pain that I'm looking forward to getting my own body back .

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting my body back and being able to wear my clothes and high heels again! On Tuesday I have another check-up, they estimated the baby's birth weight at 3200 grams, so that would be great! Are you guys looking forward to the birth?? I'm a little bit nervous....

@sneeuwvlokje I also started counting the days two weeks ago. Honestly, I found weeks 32 to 34 the hardest, physically and emotionally, because of the baby dropping down. I had a lot of pelvic pain and was really fed up by then. Now, though, the little one is so low that the pain is gone. Luckily, I can even clean the house again for a day or two. At all my check-ups, I was always told that the baby was a bit on the small side (nothing to worry about), and now, with my last ultrasound last week, they expect a medium-plus baby weighing 3600-3800 grams. Somehow, I find the birth a bit more exciting now... I weighed 57 kg before my pregnancy and I'm 1.62 m tall, so I'm quite petite. I've gained 20 kg in the meantime, so I can't even imagine that such a big baby is coming out of me.

Oh, for myself, I find it reassuring, anoniem22, that your baby is now estimated to be a medium-sized baby. Ours was also quite small at the last check-up (not problematic yet, but I have to rest as much as possible and she shouldn't fall further behind). Hopefully, she'll have grown significantly by the next check-up so she'll be back in the 'normal' zone.
The head was on the larger side during the check-up though (especially the belly and legs were lagging behind), so unfortunately, that won't help much with the delivery anyway . But honestly, I'm not too worried about the delivery for now. I'll just let it happen. I think it's an advantage that it's our first child, and I can't imagine it too much yet. I just assume my body will be able to handle it. But knowing myself, the nerves will probably kick in once it gets closer .

Oh, I mean... then you should indeed take it easy. You see, everything has its pros and cons. I also hold on to the thought that every woman manages it, so I will too. Are you going to bottle feed? I am, and suddenly I'm unsure about which brand to choose... will the hormones be okay?
  11. sneeuwvlokje #12

I’d really like to breastfeed. Or well, I definitely want to give it a try. If it turns out to be too difficult or painful, I don’t mind switching to bottle feeding. But for now, I haven’t looked into bottle feeding at all. In the prenatal classes I took, they recommended starting with NAN Pro 1 if you chose bottle feeding.
And yes, I often think: if all those other women can get through childbirth, I’ll manage too

    hey,

Here too, the final preparations are done and I'm seriously counting down to the birth. My due date is 6/8, so tomorrow I'll be 37 weeks At my last check-up on Wednesday, our little boy already weighed 3.3kg and was estimated to be around 4kg at birth. With my first pregnancy, I went 10 days overdue and had to be induced, so now I'm adding those 10 extra days to my calculation. I really hope this time it starts spontaneously.

This is my second pregnancy, and my first little boy also weighed 4kg at birth but then had a fall due to reflux, so I'm glad this little one has some reserve too; that can't do any harm.

I've been having a lot of heartburn here, got different medication on Wednesday and it's helping me better. Terrible sleep and I'm exhausted, and then everything still has to begin.

Good luck and hoping for a smooth and good delivery!!!

    Hi e.kers,
I'm also 37 weeks and due on August 5th. Soon it'll really happen. So far I've been relaxed and had a really nice pregnancy. Everything is ready, so I'm just waiting to see
  14. e.kers started this #15

Oh, exactly the same date, how nice!!! Haha.. here everything is ready too and indeed, now we just have to wait.. I try to plan something every day, even if it's just something small.. otherwise time feels so slow..

Hi ladies, I'm 32.5 weeks pregnant but already super impatient! Can't wait for it to be here! Still working and feeling good, but every time I'm home I have to go check the room...
  16. sneeuwvlokje #17

Hihi, so relatable D. I also regularly pop into the baby's room for a bit after work.
  17. MamaN #18

Haha I think in the end the whole group "due in August 2017" will end up here. How did it go so fast? I'm fed up with it now. On one hand I don't want to be pregnant anymore, but on the other hand I do, and it's still nice and quiet in my belly.
  18. anoniem22 #19

@maman haha yeah I noticed that too
But it's nice that it's so active here I'm getting tired of it too. The only thing I still enjoy is feeling the little guy move, especially after Friday every movement feels nice now. But I'm tired of the big belly and honestly also of people's comments on the street like "oh, lucky you, a twin..." no, it's not a twin, and "oh, you look great," some people just say "you've gotten fat, wow." So friendly.
  19. MamaN #20

Haha yeah, I’m also no longer called by my first name, but just “bolly” or “chubby” Not very nice.
