38 weeks and green discharge!

Hi! I've been having strong contractions for 3 days now, plus a yellow/greenish discharge. Just now, I also got some itching. I called my gynecologist and told her I had a yeast infection. Now I have to apply Gyno-Daktarin cream for a week. I'm really worried about whether it could be harmful to the baby if I'm still infected when he's born. Help...

If I'm not mistaken, you can only pass on the strep virus to your baby during childbirth through regular bladder infections. A one-time course of antibiotics really can't do any harm. The hard contractions caused by the infection can do more harm to your baby (e.g., turning into labor contractions when you're not yet ready). Get well soon!!

Thanks for your advice. It's already much better, the cream really helps.
Now just the birth, I'm really looking forward to it.
