38 weeks, when are you giving birth to the second one?

Hello to all the pregnant or almost-pregnant mamas. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant and went to see my midwife again today. The baby hasn't dropped yet, and I don't really have many symptoms except feeling big and heavy.

I'm curious how the birth of your second child got going. With my first, I was induced due to high blood pressure. This time, things are going well so far, and there's a good chance I'll just be able to give birth naturally. We're really looking forward to it and have pretty much everything ready for the baby's arrival.

The midwife told me it doesn't matter whether the baby has dropped or not. Also, the fact that I don't have many strong contractions doesn't necessarily mean anything about when labor will start. Over the past two days, though, I've noticed my bowels are quite upset and the baby seems a bit more restless than usual.

I'd love to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Hi,
    Have you given birth already?
I was induced for my first one due to complications. My second came at over 41 weeks. In the end, I had to use labor-inducing drugs again. So I haven’t experienced spontaneous water breaking or anything like that.
Now I’m pregnant with my third and hope not to need induction this time. We’ll just have to wait and see…
