Pelvic instability

Hi everyone,

I'm already 38 weeks pregnant and have had pelvic instability since week 14. I've been seeing a pelvic physiotherapist for 7 weeks now, but unfortunately, it only seems to be getting worse.
Does anyone have experience with this? I'm not sure what to do anymore; I can barely do anything as everything hurts.

    What does your physio say?
Unfortunately, I have experience with this. First pregnancy, symptoms started at 18 weeks, and second pregnancy already from 10 weeks.
For me, nothing helped during the second pregnancy anymore, and I could only maintain a status quo where I could do some things at home and take care of my son. Especially in the last 4 weeks, I could hardly do anything.
Try to accept it. After the birth, things often get better, although you might not be symptom-free right away. (I'm still on sick leave now, 13 weeks postpartum.)
Try to do your physio exercises well if you still can. That helps at least a little.
Wishing you lots of strength for the last few weeks.

Thank you for your response, and of course congratulations on the birth of your baby!
It's really awful, but luckily I got the good news today that they're going to induce labor. So I hope to be pain-free again soon after the birth
I hope you recover from it soon too.

Yesss! I've also been seeing a physio since 8 weeks, now 35 weeks pregnant and still not getting any better.

The baby has dropped completely for me, so my pelvis doesn't shift as much anymore. But walking is hard now, and I have even more pain in the evenings than before.

    Hi anonymous,

It’s so bad for me that there are days when I can’t walk anymore. So I hope the OB-GYN calls me tomorrow with good news haha.
It gets heavier the further along you are, so I hope it’s a bit easier for you

I definitely had those days too, hope they don't come back. Only since a week ago can I walk 'reasonably' well, compared to the last few weeks...
It does help that I started with a pelvic therapist so early, but unfortunately, that couldn't prevent me from being on sick leave since 17 weeks. Again and again, mucous membrane inflammation. Couldn't drive the car anymore, but we're almost there.....
I also hope you get a call with good news, my midwife doesn't see it as an indication to deliver earlier.
