growth delay

Hi everyone,
I'm now 28 weeks pregnant. Today at my growth scan, they noticed that my little princess had a relatively small head and belly! I had to go to the hospital urgently for further examination. Since the heart scan and blood flow were fine, and the baby was moving a lot, they scheduled an appointment for next week so a specialist could take a closer look.
This is my first pregnancy, and I'm quite scared and nervous!!
Does anyone here have experience with this??

    Hi!
It might not be entirely comparable, but I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant too, and my baby is also lagging a bit in growth compared to their belly size. They're doing tests on the placenta and umbilical cord. So far for me, that means they're monitoring the growth and the umbilical cord via ultrasounds. They're also checking if the placenta looks okay and if the blood flow through the umbilical cord is good.
May I ask how many times they've already found measurements indicating the baby is too small?

    Hi Sisi,
Well, at the 20-week scan they mentioned something about the head but didn't really go into detail.. and now again with the 28-week growth scan! Head and belly..

I was told this about my third baby during the ultrasound.
My husband and I were really worried about it.
In the end, everything turned out fine—we had an extra ultrasound, and it showed that she was growing well, just at her own pace.
    Not like the average.
She was simply growing well in her own way, along her own line.
    Relief.
I did need to rest earlier, took leave, and really made sure to rest properly. Then you could see that things were going well.
Every baby grows in their own way.
