Which brand of baby bottles?

Hi everyone,

Quick question about your experiences!
I'm looking for baby bottles and I keep hearing different things around me: Dr. Brown's, Difrax, Avent.
Which brands do you use, and which ones are nice?
I saw this deal at Kruidvat, it looked pretty good.

Thanks in advance!

I gave, and still give, my little boy breast milk, but I also really wanted him to take a bottle for when I went back to work and so that my husband could do it sometimes. Well, it took more than three months before he took it.. I used Dr. Brown's, Avent, all the expensive brands. Until I just tried a own-brand bottle from Kruidvat and guess what, he took it! So if I can give you a tip, don't immediately go for the expensive bottles just because you think it's good because of the brand. I also once used one from Action and that worked well too!

I bought Medela bottles at the pharmacy. They're bottles designed to help transition from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding, with very soft teats. I had also bought Avent bottles for my son, but those are way too hard to suck on—I strongly advise against them. I even sat down in my chair with milk in one and tried sucking on it myself. My jaw cramped up after just a little while... With the Medela bottles, he drank his bottle nicely without falling asleep in about 15 minutes. With the Avent ones, he kept falling asleep, and I'd have to sit with him for 45 minutes just to get him to drink...

I also use the Medela one because it came with my pump set, and my daughter drinks fine from it.

We have almost all of them. Our little one is still spitting up, and the pediatrician told us to try other brands. Now she's still spitting up, I've got six bottles, and I'm being advised to just let it ride out.

A good tip we got was: don't buy 10 of the same brand right away. It really depends on the child's preference. Buy 1 of, say, 3 different brands and then see what your baby likes best. On our birth registry, we have both the Medela Calma and the Tommy Tippee.
