Hi!
I have a small question. I'm currently 39+4 weeks pregnant.
Every now and then, I get sharp pains in my back. It starts at the bottom and slowly climbs up through my spine. At least, that's how it feels. Are these Braxton Hicks contractions or early labor contractions, or could it be that the baby is kicking or hitting a nerve? It happens very occasionally. Today, I had it twice in a row. Now things are calm again, and it's possible there will be a few days or hours between episodes. What do you think this is?

Given your due date, those could very well be false labor. Maybe it won't be long before your real labor starts. If you're unsure, it's a good idea to ask your midwife for advice.
