How many outfits should I buy?

heyy,

I was wondering how many outfits you bought for your baby. I'm now expecting our 2nd child, a boy (my due date is July 10). Our 1st child was born on November 25 (winter baby), which I found much easier. I always dressed her in a romper, pants, long-sleeve shirt, vest, and a hat. She wore that for a long time too. She stayed in size 50 for about 8 weeks and size 56 for another 8 weeks. At 4 months she moved to size 62, and at 7 months to size 68. So she was a fairly small baby. If our son is as small as our first, we'd basically only need to buy summer clothes in size 50, because he'd move to size 56 around September 10. But of course, I don't know if he'll be just as small.
What would you do?

My son was born last year on May 30th. I bought a lot of size 50-56 clothes because I thought a baby should always be nicely dressed. But last year it was really hot, and he spent a lot of time just in a romper or even just in a diaper because it was too warm. As a result, he sometimes only wore his clothes once or not at all. By the time it got cooler, he had outgrown size 50-56, so I put a lot of new or barely worn clothes in a box to save. So I wouldn't buy too much. If it gets cooler, you can always buy some extra clothes later, but otherwise it's really a waste!
