Baby's growth curve suddenly looks very different

Hi ladies!
Quick question: at 28 weeks I had a growth scan and the little one weighed 1900g and was measuring 3+ weeks ahead. Because of that, I was immediately referred to the OB-GYN. Last week I had another growth scan at 32 weeks, and now he's only a little bit ahead (less than a week).
What a huge difference! More than two weeks' difference in growth? So I have another scan in two weeks.
I know there can be a difference in measurements, but I think a gap of more than two weeks is quite big. Has anyone here experienced this or heard of it before, and what was going on?
Ugh, now I'm worried that he's doing less well or something... I was so surprised that I couldn't even think of the right questions to ask the OB at the time.
