Baby's growth curve suddenly looks very different

Hi ladies!
Quick question: at 28 weeks I had a growth scan, and the little one weighed 1900g and was measuring 3+ weeks ahead. Because of that, I was immediately referred to the OB-GYN. Last week I had another growth scan at 32 weeks, and now he's only measuring a little over a week ahead.
What a big difference! More than two weeks' difference in growth? So I have another scan in two weeks.
It's probably just a difference in measurement, but I think a gap of more than two weeks is quite large. Has anyone here had this or heard of it before, and what was going on?
Ugh, this is making me worry that he's doing worse now or something...
I was so taken aback that I couldn't even think of the right questions to ask the OB at the time.
