Baby's growth curve suddenly looks very different

Hi ladies!
Just a quick question. At 28 weeks, I had a growth scan and the little one already weighed 1900g and was measuring 3+ weeks ahead. Because of that, I was immediately referred to the OB-GYN. Last week I had another growth scan at 32 weeks, and now he's only measuring a little over a week ahead.
What a huge difference! More than two weeks' difference in growth? So, I have another scan in two weeks.
It's probably just a slight difference in measurement, but I think a gap of more than two weeks is quite big. Has anyone here experienced this or heard of it before, and what was going on?
Ugh, now I'm worried that he's doing worse or something...
I was so surprised when I saw that at the time I couldn't even think of the right questions to ask the OB.
