35 weeks pregnant and suddenly in breech?

Hi!

I’m under the care of the OB-GYN at the hospital and have check-ups every 2 weeks regarding Anti-C. They always do a standard ultrasound at each visit, which is nice

Last Monday I was already at the hospital because I had constant hard contractions. So CTG, ultrasound, etc... everything was completely fine. My regular appointment was already scheduled for today (35 weeks), and they kept it, so another ultrasound today. And suddenly it was visible that our little one had turned and is now in a breech position!

The gynecologist was quite surprised... Because this doesn’t happen that often... Afterwards I can now understand where my stomach pain came from... Then the little one was turning! But how often does this happen? Because on all the other ultrasounds the baby was always in the same position... Back to the right and head down... Now I wonder if anyone else has experienced that the baby suddenly changed position? I have to come back in a week and a half to possibly turn the baby if they’re still in this position, but I don’t think I want that, it sounds so scary...

Also, I find it strange that the baby turned even though there isn’t much space left anymore.

    Hi sweetie,
Your post is already from almost 2 weeks ago, but I still wanted to reply. The same thing happened to me—my baby was always in a good position and turned breech at the end, around week 35 if I remember correctly.
She didn’t turn back, and I didn’t want them to try a manual version. Apparently, that hurts quite a bit and there’s only a small chance it’ll actually work; even the gynecologist cautiously advised against it... She did say it was my choice, but my decision was already made. We set a date for the C-section, exactly 1 week before the due date. So I knew 2 or 3 weeks in advance when my baby would be born. That was special, and maybe even more exciting! And I could make a countdown calendar, haha ;-)
    How are you doing?

Thanks for your reply.. I woke up in pain last night like she was about to come out of my belly wall but after a while it went away so I didn't look further into it. Went to the gyn yesterday for a check-up, felt like she was lying very strangely so an ultrasound.. The lady turned her around herself so now she's lying well! Well, her head is down and her bottom is leaning quite against the belly wall. But no breech!! It's quite special that she turned back around, seems to happen very rarely... Now just hope she stays like this
